September 1
After you’re admitted and have your KU ID Number and KU Online ID,
go to housing.ku.edu. Follow the instructions to sign a housing contract
so you may choose a room in the spring.
Once you’ve signed a contract, you may also submit additional
materials to apply for a scholarship hall. Scholarship halls involve a
competitive selection based on academic merit and financial need.
November 1
Student Housing begins reviewing scholarship hall applications and
making offers during the last week of each month. Student Housing
continues to make offers throughout the spring.
febrUary
Returning residents are first in line to select room and roommates.
march 1 Scholarship Halls
Deadline for scholarship hall applications. Students who don’t receive
a fall scholarship hall offer will be considered for spring.
march Residence Halls
New residents begin selecting rooms and roommates online. Room
selections continue throughout the summer. The schedule for your
selection time will be posted at housing.ku.edu. You may choose your
roommates or go potluck. If you have chosen roommates you know,
you all must sign housing contracts before selecting your room.
