President Wharton's recommendations were unanimously approved on motion by Trustee Stevens,<br />
seconded by Trustee Carrigan.<br />
All present except the Trustees, President Wharton, Executive Vice President and Secretary<br />
Breslin, Vice President Wilkinson, and Robert E. Wenner were then excused and a report on<br />
the audit <strong>of</strong> Trustees 1 expenses was made by Mr. Wenner.<br />
5. Approval <strong>of</strong> Tentative Agreement with Local 1585<br />
Motion was made by Trustee Bruff, seconded by Trustee Radcliffe, to approve the tentative<br />
agreement with Local 1585, AFL-CIO. Unanimously carri ed.<br />
6. Public Briefing Session September 26<br />
In view <strong>of</strong> the fact that time did not permit a Public Briefing Session following this<br />
Executive Session, motion was made by Trustee Bruff, seconded by Trustee Stevens, and<br />
unanimously carried to allow any individual or group who wished to appear before the<br />
Board to do so at the end <strong>of</strong> the regular session September 26.<br />

<strong>MINUTES</strong> <strong>OF</strong> <strong>THE</strong> MEETING<br />
<strong>of</strong> the<br />
MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY<br />
BOARD <strong>OF</strong> TRUSTEES<br />
September 26, 1975<br />
Present: Trustees Bruff, Carrigan, Huff, Krolikowski, Martin, Radcliffe, Stack, and<br />
Stevens; President Wharton, Executive Vice President and Secretary Breslin,<br />
Vice President Wilkinson, Provost Cantlon, Vice Presidents Muelder, Nonnamaker,<br />
Perrin, and Scott, Assistant to the President Ballard, and Attorney Carr.<br />
The Board convened in the Board Room at 9:17 a.m., President Wharton presiding.<br />
President Wharton announced that since there was no Public Hearing Thursday evening,<br />
September 25, there would be a Public Hearing Session immediately following adjournment<br />
<strong>of</strong> this Public Action session.<br />
President Wharton also announced the following changes in the agenda:<br />
A. Item D 7 should be changed to Union Contract (rather than Contracts).<br />
B. Item D 8 should read "Enrollment Limitations Winter and Spring Term and Fall<br />
Term Enrollment Goals. rr<br />
C. New Item D 12, "Of'f-ieer Personnel Recommendations."<br />
1. Motion was made by Trustee Carrigan, seconded by Trustee Bruff to approve the agenda.<br />
Unanimously carried.<br />
2. On motion by Trustee Huff, seconded by Trustee Martin, the minutes <strong>of</strong> the August 20<br />
and September 5 meetings <strong>of</strong> the Trustees were unanimously approved.<br />
3. On motion by Trustee Huff, seconded by Trustee Carrigan, it was unanimously voted to<br />
approve the Executive Session actions.<br />
A. PERSONNEL CHANGES<br />
Resignations<br />
1.<br />
Judith A. Hindes, Extension Home Economist, Genesee and Lapeer Counties, effective<br />
September 4, 1975 to move out <strong>of</strong> the state.<br />
Grace E. Lang, Extension Home Economist, Genesee and Lapeer Counties, effective<br />
October 6, 1975 to move to Kansas.<br />
Mary Kathleen Yadrick, Extension Home Economist, Oakland and Wayne Counties, effective<br />
August 29, 1975 to accept a position at the University <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin.<br />
