2012 Signed with the Red Sox organization
as a minor league free agent and spent the
season pitching out of the bullpen for Triple-A
Pawtucket…was a perfect 6-for-6 in save opportunities.
2011 Began the season in the rotation and made
17 starts overall for Triple-A Tucson (Padres)…25
of his last 27 apps came out of the bullpen, his
first relief work since 2006…tied for 6th in the
Pacific Coast League with 120 SO…allowed 16 HR
but just 1 in his last 18 relief apps after the All-Star
break.
2010 Made 11 starts with Triple-A Portland
(Padres) before being placed on the disabled list
on June 18 with a right elbow strain…underwent
Tommy John surgery and missed the remainder of
the season.
2009 Started the season with Double-A San
Antonio (Padres) and went 4-1 with a 3.05 ERA
(44.1-IP, 15-ER) before making his Triple-A debut
with Portland on May 22…finished the year back in
Double-A and allowed just 1 HR in his final 7 starts
with San Antonio…led the Missions with a 1.04
WHIP and ranked 2nd with a .218 opp avg.

All-Star teams…led the league with 140
SO and tied for 2nd with 28 starts…ranked 2nd
among qualifying starters in opp avg. (.234) and
4th in ERA (3.52)…pitched for the U.S. team in the
Futures Game at Yankee Stadium and tossed a
scoreless inning of relief.
2007 Combined for a 3.28 ERA while setting career
highs with 159.1 IP and 180 SO between three
teams and two organizations…started the year
with the Brewers organization and was acquired
by San Diego in a 4-player deal on July 25 that
sent relief pitcher Scott Linebrink to the Brewers.
2006 Led Class-A West Virginia (Brewers) with 10
wins, 134 SO and a 1.71 ERA in 23 apps (20 starts)
as the staff’s youngest pitcher…led qualifying
South Atlantic League starters with 10.71 SO/9 IP…
ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the Brewers system
by Baseball America.
2005 Combined to go 6-0 with a 1.91 ERA (47-IP,
10-ER) and 59 SO between Rookie-level Helena
and the AZL Brewers in his first pro season.
