Many clay objects have been discovered in settlements, coming from<br />

spinning and weaving tools, but also rush lights and toys. Some cult objects were<br />

also ma<strong>de</strong> of clay, like votive statues and chariots.<br />

Spindle whorls.<br />

Based on the information available, the Noua culture is much poorer<br />

regarding this type of findings than other cultures of the Bronze Age. However,<br />

several types of spindle whorls have been discovered:<br />

discoidal form with roun<strong>de</strong>d si<strong>de</strong>s spherical<br />

conical biconical<br />

Post-ends<br />

Very few such objects have been discovered, and they can be attributed to<br />

the following types:<br />

conical body spherical body<br />

conical body body having a rectangular section<br />

Weights<br />

The items discovered so far can be attributed to one category, but this does<br />

not exclu<strong>de</strong> the existence of other mo<strong>de</strong>ls. Having different dimensions and<br />

weights, they had a pyramidal shape, a rectangular section, one or two perforations<br />

in the upper part. Such items have been discovered at Deuş-Lunga, Deuş-Apreşul<br />

<strong>de</strong> Jos, Buza, Mera etc.
