Bird Island Park
Located behind the Ponte
Vedra Beach library, Bird Island
Park, which took eight years to
complete, was created from community
groups and local Ponte
Vedra leaders who saw a need for
a children’s park in the area.
The park features walking
trails, a gazebo, a maze-like garden
winding through benches
and lots of native Florida flowers
and plants blooming
by sidewalks and
sitting areas.
Artistic touches
are also found
throughout the
small park, including sculptures,
such as a colorful and whimsical
turtle, and a handcrafted mosaic
bordering the storytelling area,
all created by local artists. All the
art in the park is “interactive,” so
children are welcome to touch
and climb aboard if they wish.
