Lillian (Daulton) Olson, '11,<br />

Decorah, Iowa, received a distinguished<br />

Norwegian American Museum at<br />

Luther College in Decorah.<br />

Wallace Huber, '14, enjoys an<br />

active retirement in Honolulu,<br />

Hawaii, as a member <strong>of</strong> The Blue<br />

Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite and<br />

Shrine and the Square and Compass<br />

Club at Hickam Air Force Base.<br />

Jacob Gensmann, '17, Wausau,<br />

is still active in Masonic Lodge,<br />

Shrine Club and church.<br />

The Thirties<br />

Charles Trowbridge, '30, Lodi,<br />

Calif., sends geetings to his classmates<br />

and football team mates <strong>of</strong><br />

1926-30. He is involved in coaching<br />

junior soccer, playing golf, landscape<br />

painting, duplicate bridge,<br />

gardening, reading, and helping his<br />

wife with household chores.<br />

Alma Fisher, '34, Milwaukee, has<br />

retired from a 36-year teaching<br />

career. She plans to travel, work on<br />

crafts, and spend time at her home<br />

on Lake Camelot, Wisconsin Rapids.<br />

Woody Bowersock, '35, Orange,<br />

Calif" who competes in the over-70years<br />

age group, won first place in<br />

the 500 and 1650 yard free style<br />

events in the 1983 Short Course<br />

National Masters Swim Meet at Fort<br />

Lauderdale, Fla.<br />

The Forties<br />

Dick Tews, '40, Kinnelon, N.J.,<br />

retired recently. He and his wife plan<br />

to travel in their motor home, and<br />

Dick will pursue the many crafts he<br />

has done through the years.<br />

Jean (Rennebohm) Homburg,<br />

'45, Madison, retired after 16 years<br />

<strong>of</strong> substitute teaching in elementary<br />

grades.<br />

Grace (Lange) Peterson, '45,<br />

Greenfield, is retired after 25 years<br />

<strong>of</strong> teaching and is a volunteer in<br />

remedial reading assistance.<br />

Virginia (Waggenor) Grier, '48,<br />

Tempe, Ariz., has been a behavior<br />

learning counselor for severely disturbed<br />

children in Washington<br />

school district, Phoenix, Ariz., for the<br />

last ten years.<br />

Margaret Augustin, '49, Claremore,<br />

Okla., is associate pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong><br />

chemistry at Rogers State College,<br />

which is just outside <strong>of</strong> Tulsa, Okla.<br />

Irene (Goyer) Kounelis, '49, Elm<br />

Grove, is a school counselor at<br />

Wauwatosa West High School and<br />

also holds a brokers license in real<br />

estate.<br />

AI. '49, and Dorothy (Foster)<br />

Willers, '47, live in Sheboygan. AI is<br />

a counselor at Horace ,Mann Middle<br />

School, and Dorothy is a physical<br />

education instructor at Sheboygan<br />

Falls Junior High School.<br />

The Fifties<br />

Donna (Higgins) Bachman, '52 &<br />

'69, Sebring, Fla., is assistant<br />

principle at Fred Wild Elementary<br />

School. She received a M. Ed. at the<br />

<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Hawaii in 1971 and a<br />

Specialist in Psychology in Florida in<br />

1974.<br />

Charles Odegaard, '52, Seattle,<br />

Wash., was re-elected president and<br />

chairman <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> the<br />

American Youth Hostle Association<br />

at the annual meeting held last<br />

November in Washington, D.C.<br />

Dwayne Schmaltz, '52, Waupun,<br />

was recently named administrator <strong>of</strong><br />

the new Cooperative Educational<br />

Service Agency (CESA) 6.<br />

Lois (Krubsack) Heyerdahl, '53, is<br />

a horsemanship instructor and<br />

trainer in Sparta. She has been<br />

selected to ride at the <strong>1984</strong> Olympic<br />

trials for the dressage team.<br />

Robert Kime, '54 & '57, Eugene,<br />

Oreg., is pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> school and<br />

community health at the <strong>University</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> Oregon, Eugene, and has been<br />

selected as a long jump <strong>of</strong>ficial for<br />

the <strong>1984</strong> Summer Olympics at Los<br />

Angeles.<br />

Marjorie (Sill) Johnson, '57,<br />

Beloit, is working in a Federally<br />

funded program called Youth<br />

Liaison. She is a tutor at Aldrich Jr.<br />

High, Beloit, for students who are on<br />

juvenile police probation.<br />

Sharon (Worman) Bolster, '58,<br />

'68, & '73, Columbia, S.C., earned a<br />

Ph.D. at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Wisconsin­<br />

Madison in 1981 and is currently a<br />

visiting pr<strong>of</strong>essor at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

South Carolina.<br />

Marilyn (Ocasek) Sullivan, '58, is<br />

president <strong>of</strong> Colorado Technical<br />

College, Colorado <strong>Spring</strong>s, Colo.<br />

Mary (Winter) Marcou, '59, La<br />

Crosse, recently received a Master <strong>of</strong><br />

Education degree and teaches third<br />

and fourth grades at Northern Hills<br />

School in Onalaska.<br />

Sharon (Luethi) Powell, '59,<br />

Tomah, is a physical education instructor<br />

at Tomah Senior High. She<br />

is also girls sports supervisor, girls<br />

tennis and s<strong>of</strong>tball coach.<br />

The Sixties<br />

Mary (Fiebig) Panke, '60, Silverton,<br />

Idaho, is manager <strong>of</strong> a beer and<br />

wine distributorship in Kellogg,<br />

Idaho. She is also the elected<br />

Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees <strong>of</strong><br />

the Wallace, Idaho, school district.<br />

Connie Lou (Hagen) Davies, '61,<br />

resides in Cankerra, Australia, with<br />

her husband and three children.<br />

They recently visited family and<br />

friends in Mondovi. Connie teaches<br />

English and physical education to<br />

high school students.<br />

Lorraine (Noguchi) Fukumoto,<br />

'63, teaches third grade in Riverside,<br />

Calif.<br />

Jim Jevens, '64, Camarillo, Calif.,<br />

recently became a business partner<br />

in a local real estate firm. He was<br />

project chairman for the Boys and<br />

Girls Club <strong>of</strong> Camarrillo Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Directors for a gym-activity center<br />

addition and was named volunteer<br />

<strong>of</strong> the year by the Board.<br />

Mary (Heider) Cicmanec, '65,<br />

Cincinnati, Ohio, is the assistant<br />

dean <strong>of</strong> medical education at the<br />

<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Cincinnati College <strong>of</strong><br />

Medicine.<br />

Kay Hilt, '66, Portland, Oreg., is<br />

director <strong>of</strong> recreation therapy at<br />

Good Samaritan Hospital.
