The Teens
Lillian (Daulton) Olson, '11,
Decorah, Iowa, received a distinguished
service award from the
Norwegian American Museum at
Luther College in Decorah.
Wallace Huber, '14, enjoys an
active retirement in Honolulu,
Hawaii, as a member of The Blue
Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite and
Shrine and the Square and Compass
Club at Hickam Air Force Base.
Jacob Gensmann, '17, Wausau,
is still active in Masonic Lodge,
Shrine Club and church.
The Thirties
Charles Trowbridge, '30, Lodi,
Calif., sends geetings to his classmates
and football team mates of
1926-30. He is involved in coaching
junior soccer, playing golf, landscape
painting, duplicate bridge,
gardening, reading, and helping his
wife with household chores.
Alma Fisher, '34, Milwaukee, has
retired from a 36-year teaching
career. She plans to travel, work on
crafts, and spend time at her home
on Lake Camelot, Wisconsin Rapids.
Woody Bowersock, '35, Orange,
Calif" who competes in the over-70years
age group, won first place in
the 500 and 1650 yard free style
events in the 1983 Short Course
National Masters Swim Meet at Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.
The Forties
Dick Tews, '40, Kinnelon, N.J.,
retired recently. He and his wife plan
to travel in their motor home, and
Dick will pursue the many crafts he
has done through the years.
Jean (Rennebohm) Homburg,
'45, Madison, retired after 16 years
of substitute teaching in elementary
grades.
Grace (Lange) Peterson, '45,
Greenfield, is retired after 25 years
of teaching and is a volunteer in
remedial reading assistance.
Virginia (Waggenor) Grier, '48,
Tempe, Ariz., has been a behavior
learning counselor for severely disturbed
children in Washington
school district, Phoenix, Ariz., for the
last ten years.
Margaret Augustin, '49, Claremore,
Okla., is associate professor of
chemistry at Rogers State College,
which is just outside of Tulsa, Okla.
Irene (Goyer) Kounelis, '49, Elm
Grove, is a school counselor at
Wauwatosa West High School and
also holds a brokers license in real
estate.
AI. '49, and Dorothy (Foster)
Willers, '47, live in Sheboygan. AI is
a counselor at Horace ,Mann Middle
School, and Dorothy is a physical
education instructor at Sheboygan
Falls Junior High School.
The Fifties
Donna (Higgins) Bachman, '52 &
'69, Sebring, Fla., is assistant
principle at Fred Wild Elementary
School. She received a M. Ed. at the
University of Hawaii in 1971 and a
Specialist in Psychology in Florida in
1974.
Charles Odegaard, '52, Seattle,
Wash., was re-elected president and
chairman of the Board of the
American Youth Hostle Association
at the annual meeting held last
November in Washington, D.C.
Dwayne Schmaltz, '52, Waupun,
was recently named administrator of
the new Cooperative Educational
Service Agency (CESA) 6.
Lois (Krubsack) Heyerdahl, '53, is
a horsemanship instructor and
trainer in Sparta. She has been
selected to ride at the 1984 Olympic
trials for the dressage team.
Robert Kime, '54 & '57, Eugene,
Oreg., is professor of school and
community health at the University
of Oregon, Eugene, and has been
selected as a long jump official for
the 1984 Summer Olympics at Los
Angeles.
Marjorie (Sill) Johnson, '57,
Beloit, is working in a Federally
funded program called Youth

Liaison. She is a tutor at Aldrich Jr.
High, Beloit, for students who are on
juvenile police probation.
Sharon (Worman) Bolster, '58,
'68, & '73, Columbia, S.C., earned a
Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin­
Madison in 1981 and is currently a
visiting professor at the University of
South Carolina.
Marilyn (Ocasek) Sullivan, '58, is
president of Colorado Technical
College, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Mary (Winter) Marcou, '59, La
Crosse, recently received a Master of
Education degree and teaches third
and fourth grades at Northern Hills
School in Onalaska.
Sharon (Luethi) Powell, '59,
Tomah, is a physical education instructor
at Tomah Senior High. She
is also girls sports supervisor, girls
tennis and softball coach.
The Sixties
Mary (Fiebig) Panke, '60, Silverton,
Idaho, is manager of a beer and
wine distributorship in Kellogg,
Idaho. She is also the elected
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of
the Wallace, Idaho, school district.
Connie Lou (Hagen) Davies, '61,
resides in Cankerra, Australia, with
her husband and three children.
They recently visited family and
friends in Mondovi. Connie teaches
English and physical education to
high school students.
Lorraine (Noguchi) Fukumoto,
'63, teaches third grade in Riverside,
Calif.
Jim Jevens, '64, Camarillo, Calif.,
recently became a business partner
in a local real estate firm. He was
project chairman for the Boys and
Girls Club of Camarrillo Board of
Directors for a gym-activity center
addition and was named volunteer
of the year by the Board.
Mary (Heider) Cicmanec, '65,
Cincinnati, Ohio, is the assistant
dean of medical education at the
University of Cincinnati College of
Medicine.
Kay Hilt, '66, Portland, Oreg., is
director of recreation therapy at
Good Samaritan Hospital.
