chocolates and popcorn.<br />
At 5280 <strong>Chocolates</strong> we use fresh, quality ingredients to create our<br />
gourmet products and are best known for our caramel products, such<br />
as Caramel Boulders, Caramel Sea Salts and our famous Almond Butter<br />
Toffee. Many of our products, like the toffee and truffles, are made with all<br />
natural ingredients.<br />
For retail stores, we know it is hard to find time and money to print nice marketing<br />
materials, so we are starting a new program to supply marketing materials for you<br />
to use in your store.<br />
For stores located in the Western U.S. and Midwest, you will additionally benefit by shorter<br />

We make our gourmet CARAMEL from scratch in our copper<br />
kettles. At just the right temperature we pour the caramel onto a<br />
cooling table and spread it by hand to the desired thickness. Next<br />
we cut the caramel into squares and pass it thru a “wall” of melted<br />
chocolate (either milk or dark). As it is still wet, we sprinkle sea salt<br />
on the top to give it just the right blend of salty and sweet. If it isn’t<br />
already, this will become one of your new favorites.<br />

How to Care for your <strong>Chocolates</strong><br />
It is best to store your chocolate between 65˚-70˚, away from direct sunlight and protected from moisture.<br />
The shelf life on most chocolate is 8-12 months. If there are exposed nuts on a product, the shelf life is<br />
6 months. Our all natural truffles are best before 3 months, although typically they will keep longer. If<br />
you freeze chocolate, put it into an air tight container. When thawing chocolate, you must put it into the<br />
refrigerator, then bring it to room temperature. If you go directly from the freezer to room temperature<br />
the texture and appearance can be affected. We don’t recommend freezing our chocolate.<br />
Over time chocolates tend to “bloom”. This is a whitish appearance on the chocolate. The chocolate is<br />
still good, it is just butter fat working its way to the surface (similar to sweating). Just wipe the surface<br />
with a glove and the chocolate is as good as new. Try not to expose your chocolate to fluctuations in temperature<br />
as this can cause blooming or crystallization.<br />

During hot weather, additional steps will need to be taken to ensure you receive a quality product. Additional<br />
shipping costs will apply during this time.
