Management and Administrative Contracts (Attachment 5) Four of the five health plans are reporting management and administrative contracts. These health plans are AlohaCare, HMSA, ‘Ohana Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare. Kaiser Permanente is reporting that they perform all of their management and administrative functions internally. The DHS found it difficult to perform an analysis of the four health plans that reported management and administrative contracts because of the differences in reporting of resources spent. HMSA spent the most on management and administrative contracts ($14 million). AlohaCare spent the least at $740,000.
