De keuze van de nozzle - of populair gezegd de<br />

spuitkop van uw hogedruk waterstraal apparatuur<br />

kan een wereld van verschil betekenen in de effectiviteit<br />

roterende nozzle heeft als algemeen voordeel dat<br />

de rotor een remmende rotatie-snelheid<br />

The choice of the nozzle can result in a world of<br />

difference regarding the effectiveness and quality<br />

of your cleaning job. Applying rotating <strong>nozzles</strong> can<br />

increase your working performance and productivity<br />

many times.<br />

Applications<br />

<strong>Rotating</strong> <strong>nozzles</strong> have proven their effectiveness<br />

in the petrochemical industry, sugar factories,<br />

power stations, paper mills and the food processing<br />

industry. The rotating nozzle is highly recommended<br />

for high pressure cleaning of heat exchangers,<br />

filters, boilers, drums and all sorts of pipe<br />

lines.<br />

Technical description<br />

• Unique spiral labyrinth<br />

Our specially developed rotating pipe cleaning<br />

<strong>nozzles</strong>, always have a spiral labyrinth for better<br />

cleaning results. The<br />

labyrinth gives the<br />

rotor a braking effect<br />

and as such creates<br />

perfect water lubrication<br />

between shaft and<br />

rotor. The spiral labyrinth increases the life time<br />

considerably, compared to the traditional standard<br />

type.<br />

• Perfect connection<br />

All our rotating <strong>nozzles</strong> with BSP or metrical<br />

connection have a flat bottom sealing. This ensures<br />

a perfect seal between nozzle and hose or lance<br />

(steel upon steel). The <strong>nozzles</strong> also have a “weep<br />

hole”. This is a normal drilled<br />

hole under the connection<br />

thread, above the seal<br />

surface. The weep hole<br />

ensures extra built-in security,<br />

especially if the rotating<br />

nozzle comes loose.<br />

No pressure can occur on the connection threads:<br />

since the water escapes through the weep hole.<br />

Naturally, all our <strong>nozzles</strong> have a standard wrench<br />

flats so that every nozzle can be mounted with the<br />

afdichtingsvlak. Het geeft een extra ingebouwde<br />

veiligheid, zeker wanneer de roterende nozzle toch<br />

los gaat. Er ontstaat namelijk geen druk op de<br />

schroefdraad: het lekwater kan via dit lekgat ontsnappen.<br />

Uiteraard zijn alle <strong>nozzles</strong> voorzien van een<br />

standaard sleutelwijdte zodat iedere nozzle gemakkelijk<br />

met passend gereedschap kan worden<br />

gemonteerd.<br />

• Veiligheid<br />

Naast de vlakke bodem, het lekgat en de<br />

sleutelwijdte zijn ook alle <strong>nozzles</strong> voorzien van de<br />

Maximale Werkdruk aanduiding die voor de specifieke<br />

nozzle van toepassing is.<br />

Gebruik en onderhoud<br />

U gebruikt de nozzle optimaal en verlengt de<br />

levensduur door de volgende zaken in acht te<br />

nemen:<br />

•1 Voor montage altijd eerst het systeem<br />

doorspoelen (dus zonder nozzle).<br />

•2 Monteer de nozzle altijd m.b.v. “anti-vreet<br />

pasta” op de lans of slang.<br />

•3 Zet de nozzle goed vast met passend<br />

gereedschap.<br />

•4 Ga nooit hoger in werkdruk dan op de<br />

nozzle staat vermeld.<br />

•5 Na de werkzaamheden de nozzle demonteren,<br />

droog maken en bewaren in olie.<br />

•6 Maak gebruik van een 50µ.filtratie.<br />

(aanbeveling)<br />

Pas wanneer de werkdruk terugvalt of er visueel<br />

te veel lekkage langs rotor en huis ontstaat, is het<br />

tijd om de nozzle te vervangen. Bij normale slijtage<br />

is het overigens mogelijk éénmalig alleen de rotor<br />

te wisselen i.p.v. de complete nozzle.<br />

Veiligheid<br />

Alle roterende <strong>nozzles</strong> worden eerst getest,<br />

voordat deze naar onze klanten worden verstuurd.<br />

Voor de uitvoerende werkzaamheden adviseert<br />

<strong>Salotech</strong> immer de veiligheidsvoorschriften van de<br />

Stichting Industriële Reiniging en de aanbevelingen<br />

van <strong>Salotech</strong> International in acht te nemen.<br />

In addition to the flat bottom sealing, the weep<br />

hole and the wrench flats, all our <strong>nozzles</strong> are also<br />

marked with the Maximum Working Pressure.<br />

Use and maintenance<br />

You can use the nozzle optimally and increase<br />

its life time by following these guide lines:<br />

•1 Before mounting the nozzle, always flush<br />

the entire system.<br />

•2 Always assemble the nozzle with “antiseize<br />

paste” on the lance or hose.<br />

•3 Mount the nozzle and tighten it with the<br />

proper tools.<br />

•4 Never go higher in pressure than marked<br />

on the nozzle.<br />

•5 After the job is done, de-mount the nozzle,<br />

dry it and store it in oil.<br />

•6 The use of 50µ. Filtration is recommended<br />

on the pump unit.<br />

Technology Association. USA (WJTA), the SIR (The<br />

Dutch based Association of Industrial Cleaning) as<br />

• Suitable as polishing nozzle.<br />

• Available with one or more front jets to<br />

remove any blockages.<br />

• Can be used with non rotating lancing<br />

machines and bundle cleaners<br />

Recommendation:<br />

• Mount extra nozzle driver (see chapter 2)<br />

or use rotating tower nozzle if pulling<br />

power required for use on a highpressure<br />

flexible hose.<br />

• If the diameter of the tube is bigger than<br />

the length of the nozzle, always use a rigid<br />

extension lance (flex lance stinger) against<br />

the boomerang effect.<br />

Type TN Towernozzle<br />

Kenmerken:<br />

• Combinatie van 2 achter elkaar<br />

gemonteerde roterende <strong>nozzles</strong> waarbij de<br />

rotors tegengesteld van elkaar draaien.<br />

• 2 rotors met beide 4 <strong>nozzles</strong> 90 o roterend.<br />

• Leverbaar met één of meerdere voorstralen<br />

voor het verwijderen van eventuele<br />

verstoppingen.<br />

Toepassing:<br />

• Speciaal ontwikkeld voor het reinigen van<br />

harde, kleverige en stroperige vervuilingen,<br />

doordat de rotors tegengesteld van elkaar<br />

draaien wordt de vervuiling gemakkelijk<br />

afgebroken.<br />

• De Tower<strong>nozzles</strong> worden veel toegepast in<br />

Type TN Tower Nozzle<br />

Characteristics:<br />

• Combination of 2 rotors, in which the<br />

rotors turn in opposite directions to give a<br />

perfect cleaning result.<br />

• 2 rotors each with 4 jets rotating 90 o to the<br />

side.<br />

• Available with one or more front jets for the<br />

removal of any blockages.<br />

• Specially developed for the cleaning of<br />

hard and sticky pollution.<br />

• The Tower Nozzles are used often at sugar<br />

refineries and in cases of extreme hard or<br />

tough pollution.<br />

Recommendation:<br />

• If the diameter of the tube is bigger than<br />

the length of the nozzle, always use a rigid<br />

extension lance (flex lance stinger) against<br />

the boomerang effect.<br />

• Leverbaar met één extra voorstraal voor<br />

extra kracht naar voren.<br />

Toepassing:<br />

• Speciaal ontwikkeld voor het verwijderen<br />

• Veel toegepast in suikerfabrieken of bij<br />

Type TNSF Tower Nozzle<br />

Characteristics:<br />

• Combination of 2 rotors, in which the<br />

rotors turn in opposite directions to give a<br />

perfect cleaning result.<br />

• 1 rotor with 4 jets rotating 90 o to the side<br />

and 1 rotor with 2 jets rotating 75 o back and<br />

2 jets rotating to the front under .<br />

• Available with one extra front jet for the<br />

removal of any blockages.<br />

• Specially developed for the cleaning of<br />

hard and sticky pollution and blockages.<br />

• The Tower Nozzles are used often at sugar<br />

refineries and in cases of extreme hard or<br />

tough pollution.<br />

Recommendation:<br />

• When using a flexible hose we advise you<br />

to use a TNSFBR or a TNSFBB because of<br />

the pulling jets.<br />

Type FR<br />

Kenmerken:<br />

• Geborgde rotor middels een gehard<br />

stalen pin.<br />

• Nozzles 2x 85 o en 2 x 45 o naar voren<br />

roterend.<br />

• Zowel voor starre lans als kruipslang.<br />

Toepassing:<br />

• De FR roterende nozzle is samen met de<br />

SISF roterende <strong>nozzles</strong> het meest geschikt<br />

voor het verwijderen van hardnekkige<br />

verstoppingen.<br />

Aanbeveling:<br />

• Op een kruipslang dient altijd gebruik te<br />

worden gemaakt van een treknozzle<br />

(nozzledriver zie hoofdstuk 2).<br />

• Laat de nozzle altijd zijn boorwerk zelf<br />

doen, bij verkeerd gebruik (door extra hard<br />

te duwen) kan de pin afbreken en kan het<br />

geheel plotseling uit de leiding komen.<br />

• Indien de lengte van de nozzle kleiner is<br />

dan de diameter van de te reinigen leiding,<br />

altijd een voorlooplans (tegen het boemerang<br />

effect) gebruiken.<br />

• Secured rotor by way of a hardened steel<br />

pin.<br />

• Nozzles 2x 85 o and rotating in front 2x 45 o .<br />

• For use on ridged lance as well as flexible<br />

hose.<br />

• The FR rotating nozzle is together with the<br />

SISF rotating nozzle the most suitable for<br />

the removal of tough blockages.<br />

Recommendation:<br />

• A nozzle driver should always be used with<br />

a flexible hose (nozzle driver see chapter 2).<br />

• Let the nozzle do the work by itself. By<br />

incorrect use the pin can wear faster<br />

than normal or break.<br />

• If the diameter of the tube is bigger than<br />

the length of the nozzle, always use a rigid<br />

extension lance (flex lance stinger) against<br />

the boomerang effect.<br />

Kenmerken:<br />

• Voorganger van de SI roterende <strong>nozzles</strong>.<br />

• Rotor van staalbrons (voor de grotere<br />

diameters inschroef<strong>nozzles</strong>).<br />

• 2 <strong>nozzles</strong> 85 o .<br />

• Direct monteerbaar op kruipslang met<br />

behulp van treknozzle.<br />

• Verkrijgbaar met trekkende gaten in de<br />

body (type RV) voor compactheid van het<br />

geheel.<br />

• Rotatiesnelheid ongecontroleerd, door 2<br />

<strong>nozzles</strong> 90 o en afwezigheid spiraallabyrint.<br />

Toepassing:<br />

• Beperkt reinigingseffect, maar voor<br />

sommige toepassingen zeer geschikt.<br />

Aanbeveling:<br />

• Indien de lengte van de nozzle kleiner is<br />

• 2 <strong>nozzles</strong> 85 o .<br />

• Can be used on flexible hose with the<br />

assistance of the nozzle driver.<br />

• Available with pulling jets in the body,<br />

type RV, for a compact unit.<br />

• Rotation speed is uncontrollable, because<br />

of 2 <strong>nozzles</strong> 90 o and the absence of a<br />

spiral labyrinth.<br />

• Limited cleaning result, but for some<br />

applications very useful.<br />

Recommendation:<br />

• If the diameter of the tube is bigger than<br />

the length of the nozzle, always use a rigid<br />

extension lance (flex lance stinger) against<br />

the boomerang effect.<br />
