over the Easter Holidays, Pasta, Gnocchi<br />

and Francesca’s beautiful Antipasto will<br />

be on the menu. Please book to avoid<br />

disappointment, I am sure this will be<br />

2010 Sangiovese<br />

We have beautiful sunny days, perfect<br />

weather for wine tasting and relaxing.<br />

Terry is very happy with the new<br />

release 2010 Sangiovese, this is a<br />

good example of its style, not overly<br />

heavy, this wine is well structured<br />

with forward tannin balanced by<br />

good acidity with a combination<br />

of raspberry and boysenberry fruit,<br />

cherry and spice to provide mouth<br />

filling characters .<br />

18 months in French Oak gives this<br />

wine great complexity.<br />

<strong>2013</strong> Vintage at<br />

<strong>Monichino</strong> Winery<br />

Terry <strong>Monichino</strong> is very pleased with our<br />

<strong>2013</strong> Vintage, he is confident there will be<br />

some outstanding wines made this year.<br />

This Vintage is so far producing some of the<br />

biggest reds Terry has ever made.<br />

2011 Chardonnay<br />

The 2011 new release Chardonnay<br />

is also an outstanding wine. Terry<br />

has used wild fermentation to<br />

focus more on good fruit flavours.<br />

This wine has a rich flavour filled<br />

combinations with the wines<br />

buttery malolatic characteristics<br />

which has been further inhanced<br />

by barrel fermentation on stirred<br />

lees.<br />

Aussie Wine Month<br />

The Goulburn Valley Winemakers<br />

association will be holding a Long<br />

Weekend from April 25th - 28th<br />

<strong>2013</strong>. There are ten wineries<br />

participating and will hold events<br />

over the weekend. I will have details<br />

on our website regarding the wineries<br />

involved. <strong>Monichino</strong> will be holding<br />

a museum display of our 50 years in<br />

Katunga and will have tastings of our<br />

new Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.<br />
