HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE AN OFFENSIVE ATTACK
IN WHICH YOU CAN NEVER BE WRONG IN WHAT YOU
CALL!
I THINK ALL OF US WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS ACE IN
THE HOLE WHEN PLAYING AGAINST ALL THE DIFFERENT
DEFENSES WE SEE EACH WEEK.
WITH THIS OFFENSIVE MENTALLY, YOUR PLAYERS WILL
NEVER THINK THAT THE DEFENSE CAN STOP THEM!
THEY WILL LOOK FORWARD SEEING ALL THE WAYS
PEOPLE TRY TO STOP THIS ATTACK!
THEY WILL TAKE PRIDE IN NOT ONLY BEING TUFF, FAST
AND STRONG PLAYERS BUT VERY SMART PLAYERS
ALSO!
YOU WILL LOVE COACHING YOUR KIDS BECAUSE IT
MAKES PRACTICE AND GAMES SO MUCH FUN BECAUSE
YOU ALWAYS HAVE THE ANSWER!

OFFENSE IS CALLED USING COMBOS AND
AUDIBLES CALLED BY QUARTERBACK
INSIDE VEER IS COMBOED WITH OUTSIDE VEER
• SPEED OPTION IS USED IF YOU GET GAP DEFENSES
ISOLATION IS COMBOED WITH POWER OFF TAKCLE
PLAY
• SWEEP IS USED IF YOU GET GAP DEFENSES
QB SNEAK IS BUILT IN TO OFFENSE IF QB SEES
PLACE FOR IT TO BE RUN.
INSIDE TRAP AND OFF-TACKLE TRAP OR COUNTER
TRADE ARE USED TO GIVE YOU CHANCES TO
COUNTER FAST FLOWING DEFENSES.
YOU CAN USE ZONE AND TRADITIONAL VEER
BLOCKING PRINCIPLES WITH YOUR OFFENSIVE
LINEMEN.
YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO THROW OFF PLAY-ACTION,
QUICK GAME OR 5 TO 7 STEP PASSING ACTIONS.
YOU WILL MAKE READING THE OPTION VERY MUCH
EASIER AND MAKE IT SAFER FROM FUMBLES OR
MISREADS BY ALLOWING DIVE BACK AND QB TO BOTH
READ THE GIVE OR PULL.

Triple option
In these highly complex running plays, three potential ball carriers are available. The
triple option typically features three components: a "dive" track, a "keep" track and
"pitch" track. In its most generic version, the inside/outside veer the dive track is
typically carried out by a running back. At the snap of the ball, this player attacks the
line of scrimmage somewhere between the offensive tackles (or end in the outside
veer) as designated by the type of triple option play. This player is often the first
choice in the triple option. His goal is to quickly attack the defensive interior in order
to either pick up yardage or freeze the defense and prevent their pursuit to the
outside. This quick surge into the interior of the defense is traditionally called a "dive".
The quarterback determines whether to hand the ball to the fullback by reading a
"dive key" - usually a defensive end. If the dive key does not try to tackle the running
back the quarterback will hand the ball off to him. Alternatively, if the defender
attempts to tackle the running back, the quarterback will keep the ball himself. This
decision usually takes place while both the dive back and the quarterback are holding
the football in an intricate exchange called the "mesh". On the keep track, the
quarterback may run upfield for yardage or pitch the ball to another ball carrier on the
"pitch" track. This player is called the "pitch back" and the quarterback determines
whether or not to pitch the ball by reading the "pitch key" - usually a linebacker or
defensive back.

The Option Offense Mission
The Option Offense exists to always keep the defense guessing. Who has the
ball? The option offense places good athletes in great situations. The option offense
allows the coach, to call plays that place the ball in the hands of the best
athlete. Better yet, the option offense allows the quarterback to place the team in
the best position to march the football down the field and score points.
Option Offense Facts:
The Option Offense continues to be run successfully at the high school and college
level
The Option Offense typically has a running quarterback
The Option Offense destroys defenses
who refuse to adjust!

Option Offense - Strengths:
The Option Offense is a ball control offense
The Option Offense is good versus any defense
The Option Offense is great for an athletic quarterback who can run
The play action pass off of the option can result in very big plays
Opposing Defenses hate to try to defend true option teams
Option Offense - Weaknesses:
The Option Offense is not a come from behind offense
The Option Offense is not a passing offense
The Option Offense takes a lot of time and work to run effectively

WE NEED TO DEVELOP A MENTALLY LIKE THE ANCIENT
KNIGHTS GOING TO BATTLE OR THE MARINES ATTACKING
THE HIGH GROUND. WE MUST DEVELOP A NASTY ATTITUDE
AND NEVER SAY DIE MENTALITY.

DEFENSIVE ALIGNMENT IS CALLED WITH A FOUR DIGIT
NUMBER .
DEFENSIVE CALLS PLACE STRONG TACKLE WITH THE
FIRST DIGIT. STRONG END WITH SECOND DIGIT. WEAK
TACKLE THIRD DIGIT. WEAK TACKLE WITH FOURTH DIGIT.
