Users can test the method above by entering Values in the first: and second: fields<br />

and then clicking Invoke. The method executes, and a new Web-browser window opens<br />

<strong>to</strong> display an XML document containing the result (Fig. 21.4). Now that we have introduced<br />

a simple example using a Web service, the next several sections explore the role of<br />

XML in Web services, as well as other aspects of Web services’ functionality.<br />
