Synopsis: An 11th Century Godfather with a dash of The Tudors and a little Braveheart thrown in, the story of William the Conqueror is a
historical epic like no other. An intricate, multi-faceted story of complex characters, their intense and conflicting relationships
and, ultimately, their own individual destinies, it culminates in the events which took place on the battlefield of 1066 - arguably
the most famous date in world history. A tapestry of political intrigue, betrayal and deception envelops the destinies of two great
men, both vying for the British crown, one of whom will found a legendary dynasty that formed the basis for modern western
civilization. One is the charismatic William, the "bastard" Duke of Normandy, the other his English rival, the popular Prince
Harold. Caught up alongside them in this web of history are two powerful women, each of whom played a key role in their fates.
Duchess Matilda of Flanders, the tempestuous wife William battled a country to win, and the gentle but determined Princess
Edith, Harold's mistress, renowned as the most beautiful woman in the world. The story weaves together the actions and
interactions of these four people-and those who would manipulate, help or hinder them-figures like Edward the Confessor,
Harold's power-crazed brother Tostig and William's faithful friend and ally Fitz-creating a chain of rising action that culminates in
the Battle of Hastings. A battle which decided the course of history both for Britain and the entire western world.
strikes when Fabrice, Dudu and Beatrice board the wrong bus and cross into the Congo; without papers, money or a believable
Synopsis: The Dirty Dozen' meets 'Tigerland' in AGE OF HEROES - an action-packed adrenalin shot based on the true story of the
formation of James Bond creator Ian Fleming's 30 Commando, one of the most respected, secretive and exclusive special
forces regiments formed during the Second World War, from which the now legendary SAS was born. Ambushed deep behind
enemy lines in WW2, the young British corporal Rains (DANNY DYER) fearlessly leads his men out of danger. But his rogue
attitude costs him, and he's sent to an allied military prison for insubordination. When the highly esteemed Captain Jones (SEAN
BEAN) shows up, Rains's bravado and raw display of fighting skills impress Jones enough to recruit him for his 'Commando'
unit. After weeks of mentally intense and physically grueling training ops where Jones tests his men to their breaking point, they
are quickly assigned their first mission; to parachute into occupied Norway and capture a deadly new radar technology from the
Germans. But as they get near the drop-zone, the newly formed band of brothers, joined by 'Norwegian yank' Steiner and
beautiful blonde spy Jensen, find themselves in the midst of a fierce dogfight, before crash landing in a Norwegian village where
Nazis have been mercilessly executing civilians. In a bloody battle in the mountains of Norway, outnumbered by an enemy as
ruthless as it is clinical, the soldiers soon realize it's do-or-die time. And by pushing their innate skills and hardcore training to the
nth degree, we see that this is no time for ordinary soldiers! This is the AGE OF HEROES.
Synopsis: Three years in the making, AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY brings the tale of one of modern culture‟s most iconic heroes
to the big screen. Much more than a comedian, Bill Hicks was and still is an inspiration to millions. His timeless comedy tackled
the contradictions of America and modern life head on. But his unique gift was to tease apart the essence of religion, the
dangers of unbridled government power and the double standards inherent in much of modern society, using nothing but his
hilarious ideas and the uncompromising observational style that continues to resonate with successive generations. Like many
who have a strong sense of their place in history, Hicks left a large unseen legacy; his collection of video recordings and
hundreds of photographs and these became the starting point for this feature-length animated documentary.
Synopsis: Meet Mahmud Nasir, London taxi driver, loving husband, doting father and something of a "relaxed" Muslim. Does the "F" word
occasionally pass his lips? It's hardly worth mentioning. Does he say his prayers five times a day? Of course! Well, usually...
Does he fast every day of Ramadan? Who's counting anyway? He may not be the most observant, but in his heart he is as
Muslim as it gets. But after his mother's death a discovery turns Mahmud's world upside down. He finds his birth certificate which
reveals that not only was he adopted at birth... but he's Jewish, and his real name is Solly Shimshillewitz! As Mahmud tumbles
headlong into a full scale identity crisis, the only person he can turn to is Lenny, a Jewish cabbie who agrees to give him lessons
in Jewishness, which start with how to dance like Topol. Oy vey.
Synopsis: We all love Star Wars…until George Lucas went and ruined it! The passion the original Star Wars trilogy inspires in its fans is
unparalleled, but when it comes to George Lucas himself, many have found their ardour has cooled into a complicated love-hate
