Ask your child:<br />
1. Does that word have a word pattern that you know? (at,<br />
ew, ake…)<br />
2. Does it look like a word you know? (e. g. yellow looks like<br />
fellow)<br />
3. Are there words with the same patterns?<br />
4. Do they rhyme?<br />
