Ever wonder what all the little dots on music paper mean? This workshop is designed to help you read the<br />
universal language of printed music and translate musical notations to the instrument of your choice. Topics<br />
covered: notes, time-values, sharps, key and key signatures, scales, basic and applied harmony and ear training.<br />

Mel will also help you develop a stage presence and rapport with your audience. Students are welcome to<br />
bring their own sheet music. Mel Dangcil is a professional music entertainer and performs throughout<br />
Southern California as a musical director. Ages 15+.<br />

Learn the basics that will make you a “Salsero” or “Salsera”. Merengue and Salsa steps and patterns that you<br />
can use in the clubs! Learn the technique that will make you look good on the floor. If time permits “solo<br />
shines” will be introduced for Salsa. You do not have to bring a partner to join this class. Intermediate class<br />
requires students to already know basics or complete Salsa beginner’s class. No street shoes allowed;<br />

HAWAIIAN DANCE | <strong>Summer</strong> is almost here: Hawaii, beaches, Hula!<br />
Get ready for an exciting and fun-filled experience learning a true Polynesian dance art that has<br />
been passed on from generation to generation. Students will be introduced to the various dances<br />
and culture of the Pacific isles with emphasis on the basics in Hawaiian hula (dance). Students<br />
will interpret songs and perform dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoan, New Zealand, and<br />
Tonga. Hawaiian dance clothing is optional, but always welcome.<br />
