FUNDRAISING<br />
50/50<br />
With over 1.2 million tickets sold at <strong>Oilers</strong> home games, our 50/50 program continues to<br />
be one of the most successful fundraising opportunities in the NHL. While the EOCF also<br />
benefits from ticket sales, these 23 charities raised over $303,000 for their causes.<br />

WINNER’S CHOICE LOTTERY<br />
In <strong>2008</strong>-<strong>09</strong>, the <strong>Edmonton</strong> <strong>Oilers</strong> Community Foundation<br />
launched an exciting and innovative concept in home lotteries<br />
– Winner’s Choice Lottery. Winners had the option of choosing<br />
the prize or the cash on all major prizes. The Grand Prize was<br />
a fully furnished landscaped estate home or $2.5 million cash!<br />
Winner’s Choice Lottery sold out, generating $1.8 million for the<br />
EOCF, including the redevelopment of Inner City High School.<br />
<strong>COMMUNITY</strong> CORNER<br />
Game night auctions at Community Corner locations on the<br />
main concourse and in the <strong>Edmonton</strong> Journal Club continue<br />
to provide <strong>Oilers</strong> and Oil Kings fans with the chance to bid on<br />
collectible, autographed sports memorabilia. Funds raised<br />
through this initiative continue to support various Foundation<br />
programs.<br />
ONLINE AUCTIONS<br />
The EOCF continues to host several online auctions throughout<br />
the season. These events feature many one-of-a-kind souvenir<br />
and collectible items not available anywhere else. In the past<br />
year, these auctions raised over $155,000 for the EOCF.<br />
