LETTER FROM EXECUTIVE DIREC<strong>TO</strong>R<br />
AND BOARD CHAIR<br />
In Oil Country, <strong>Oilers</strong> hockey ignites a passion and excitement that unites our communities. A common love of the game and devotion to the team brings fans<br />
together each fall with anticipation for the upcoming season. Using that same energy, the <strong>Oilers</strong> have always made an effort to bring together the citizens of Oil<br />
Country for more than hockey; to work collaboratively to improve and support our communities. Leading this charge is the <strong>Edmonton</strong> <strong>Oilers</strong> Community Foundation<br />
(EOCF) who, each year since 2001, has found innovative and engaging fundraising initiatives for fans to rally behind.<br />
Every dollar raised by the EOCF is donated back to communities throughout Oil Country with over $1.5 million distributed last year alone. Naturally we are proud<br />
of our efforts to raise those funds and distribute them to charitable organizations who support youth, education, and health & wellness, which is the core of our<br />
EOCF model.<br />
The <strong>Oilers</strong> players, management and staff all participate in the fundraising efforts of the EOCF and together create momentum that’s extremely powerful. The reason<br />
we work together to culminate these significant donations is to reinvest in our communities. It’s what the <strong>Oilers</strong> have always done, and always will do. Simply put,<br />
it’s the right thing to do.<br />
Most importantly, all of this is possible thanks to <strong>Oilers</strong> fans who give generously allowing the EOCF to make a notable impact in Oil Country.<br />
