It was a great privilege for leaders and members of the Northeast<br />
Region to attend True Parents Birthday celebration in the 8th<br />
year of Cheon Il Guk in Cheon Pyeong, Korea. For many members<br />
it was unforgettable experience for the fi rst time to participate at<br />
Hoon Dok Hwe with True Parents in Cheon Jeong Peace Palace.<br />
As expression of love and sincerity families and members of entire<br />
region made donations for the gift which was offered to True<br />
Parents by the Northeast Regional President Dr. Seuk and one<br />
of key Ambassadors for Peace from Azerbaijan, H.E. Ragim Huseinov.<br />
The gift was a tree made of ancient amber. Each leaf of<br />
the tree signifi es personal offering of every family and member<br />
of the Northeast Region.<br />
For the entertainment during the banquet group of Russian<br />
members, as representatives of the Northeast Region, offered<br />
Korean song “Hollyo Arirang” followed by joyful cheerful Russian<br />
traditional dance.<br />
More than 70 leaders from entire region gathered in Cheon Pyeong,<br />
Korea, for True Parents Birthday, on <strong>February</strong> 12, followed<br />

Northeast Regional Leaders’ Meeting, <strong>February</strong><br />
13 and 15, Korea<br />
Since many leaders from the Northeast Region this time gathered<br />
in Korea Regional President, Dr. Seuk, conducted the Northeast<br />
Regional Leaders’ Meeting in Korea on two occasions: on<br />
<strong>February</strong> 13, right after UPF Leaders’ Meeting fi nished, and on<br />
<strong>February</strong> 15.<br />
During the meeting the Power Point presentation about Regional<br />
activities in 2007 was shown to leaders. Dr. Seuk emphasized<br />
the goals of the Northeast Region for <strong>2008</strong>, which are<br />

It was very good and heartistic meeting to feel unity of entire Region<br />
since many leaders never saw each other before and could<br />
meet in Korea for the fi rst time.<br />

Witnessing and Education Activities for Making<br />
Core Members<br />
From <strong>February</strong> 15, W-CARP leaders who came to Korea joined<br />
W-CARP Strategic Alignment Meeting (SAM) where they had very<br />
deep and heartistic experience with Hyun Jin Nim. In order to<br />
inherit the spirit and best practices in witnessing leaders joined<br />
the model workshop which is developed by W-CARP based on<br />
new Members’ Education System. All leaders were very inspired<br />
and determined to bring victory in their respective fi elds of God’s<br />
Providence.<br />
Russia After coming back from Korea leaders of Moscow and<br />
Northwest sub-regions conducted model workshops based on<br />
new Membership Education System for witnessing leaders and<br />
members in order to pass experience which was gained in Korea.<br />
Another purpose of the workshops was to work out goals<br />
and plans for witnessing.
21-day workshop organized by Moscow Education department<br />
in January successfully fi nished on <strong>February</strong> 14. Six members<br />
graduated workshop.<br />
At the graduation ceremony participants shared deep realizations<br />
and inspiration they received through workshop. One brother<br />
from South Russia joined MFT after workshop.<br />
Moldova On <strong>February</strong> 2nd and 3rd, 2-day W-CARP model seminar<br />
was held in Moldova, Chisinau with purpose to new CARP educational<br />
system to witnessing leaders and members. CARP missionary<br />
Takahiro Sugiura gave lectures. Seminar also included<br />
discussions and games. The goal was to have 21 participants,<br />
eventually 24 people including 7 new guests participated. It was<br />
inspiring and refreshing as a new start for witnessing. Following<br />
2-day workshop on <strong>February</strong> 23-27 W-CARP Moldova conducted<br />
5-day workshop according to new W-CARP educational system.<br />

China Mr. Yeqing Li, Secretary General of YFWP International HQ<br />
visited Hong Kong. At the same time, Mr. Namhi Hwang’s couple,<br />
son of Prof. Hwang and W-CARP leader in USA visited Hong<br />
Kong. They came to meet the members of W-CARP. 13 students<br />
listened to Mr. Li’s presentation on YFWP and Namhi’s sharing<br />
about W-CARP USA. They enjoyed sharing and exchange with one<br />
and other.<br />
More than 120 students joined W-CARP in Hong Kong University.<br />
They paid their membership fee. Some of them joined service<br />
projects, orientation and seminars.<br />
A 3-day workshop was arranged for mainland students on Chinese<br />
New Year holidays on <strong>February</strong> 6-8. Son of China National Messiah<br />
couple took care of the students. Mr. Hwang gave lectures.<br />
The students were very interested in learning Divine Principle.<br />
Ukraine Leaders’ meeting was held on <strong>February</strong> 23-24 attended<br />
by 20 leaders and vice-leaders, with reports on problems and<br />
solutions. They new determination to create centers fi lled with a<br />
spirit of love.<br />

The Fourth Peace Scriptures Reciting Contest<br />
In the year <strong>2008</strong> Moscow sub-region members continued tradition<br />
of Peace Scriptures Reciting Contests. On Sunday, <strong>February</strong><br />
24, the First Contest in <strong>2008</strong> was held in Moscow following the<br />
Sunday service. After preliminary contests during the month 2<br />
sisters were selected as fi nalists of monthly contest. Ms. Tatyana<br />
Monahova from MFT became the best. The atmosphere of Sunday<br />
service and contest was very high and holy.<br />

Pure Love and IEF Activities<br />
Russia (Moscow) On <strong>February</strong> 16, a Day of Heart in the Senior<br />
House was organized by Moscow Pure Love Department.<br />
Six families met senior people and performed an entertainment<br />
program for about 100 spectators. This event was part of “Moscow<br />
Super Family” contest which fi nals took place in the Moscow<br />
House of Nationalities on March 1st.<br />
During <strong>February</strong> Moscow Pure Love Department conducted various<br />
programs, workshops, lectures and trainings for about 330<br />
young people on topics of “Family values” and “Love and Family<br />
in the Age of AIDS”. For parents Pure Love department conducted<br />
meetings on family relations issues. More than 700 parents<br />
attended those meetings.<br />
Russia (Volga sub-region) In <strong>February</strong> IEF Department of Volga<br />
sub-region conducted 12 lectures on character education<br />
themes and 3 teachers seminars for 234 teachers in Ivanovo<br />
city and Ivanovo region.<br />
Moldova In <strong>February</strong> IEF Moldova conducted 5 lectures and<br />
presentations based on the book My World and I, Way to Love<br />
for students of Chisinau schools. More than 270 students and<br />
teachers attended those lectures.<br />
In collaboration with Youth and Culture Department of Central<br />
District of Chisinau city, on <strong>February</strong> 4, 6 and 27, IEF conducted<br />
“Friendship, and Love in the Age of AIDS” presentations for<br />
about 580 students of Polytechnic and Construction Colleges.<br />
The goal of these activities is to build trust and relationship with<br />
the administration of Central district of Chisinau and enlarge the<br />
network of partners, benefi ciaries and supporters.<br />
Mongolia Teacher’s Day in Mongolia fell on the fi rst week of <strong>February</strong>.<br />
IEF Mongolia sent greetings cards to teachers, as well as<br />
introduction and documents about co-operation to all Province<br />
Educational Departments. On <strong>February</strong> 2nd IEF representative<br />
participated in Teacher’s Day celebration in Dornod province and<br />
inauguration of 11th school as Model school in that province.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 18-21 in Tuv province IEF Mongolia conducted two<br />
consecutive workshops for teachers, parents and pupils which<br />
included traditional IEF lectures on character education, drugs<br />
prevention, purity of love and preparation for successful family<br />
life. Total 540 participants attended workshops.<br />
In <strong>February</strong> W-CARP Mongolia organized lecture practice on “Pure<br />
Love” topic for CARP club leaders. They gave lectures in 4 schools<br />
for middle school students. It was really good practice for development<br />
club leaders. Pure Love lectures attended 146 students.<br />
Tajikistan On <strong>February</strong> 28 IEF Tajikistan representatives participated<br />
in Round Table on topic “Problems of Aging” which was<br />
organized by Tajikistan Ambassadors for Peace with support of<br />
government.
SFP and Outreach Activities<br />
Russia (Moscow) The fi rst event of the Global Peace Festival<br />
in Russia was the Moscow Super-Family Contest on March 1st<br />
organized by Moscow Pure Love Department together with one<br />
of departments of Moscow City Government. The purpose of the<br />
event was to promote Family values in Russian society. It conforms<br />
with proclaiming in Russia the year <strong>2008</strong> as “Year of Family”.<br />
Eight families of different age, nationalities, religions gathered<br />
for the contest. They had to artistically introduce their families,<br />
present a performance and answer to the questions of jury. One<br />
Armenian-Russian family became a winner. All other families received<br />
congratulatory gifts from sponsors.<br />
The event was covered by 5 local TV stations and couple of Moscow<br />
printed media as well as broadcasted live by BBC Russian<br />
Service. A prominent Russian Peace Ambassador Prof. Oleg<br />
Mironov was one of the judges at the contest. He gave a special<br />
interview after the event.<br />
Mongolia In <strong>February</strong> W-CARP Mongolia conducted project for<br />
serving elderly people on the theme “Offering of mind”. 35 students<br />
from several universities and colleges helped 7 senior families.<br />
They offered necessary help in houses and made several<br />
gifts. Through such activities students could understand deeply<br />
what is the living for the sake of others and what is the meaning<br />
of being real owner of your nation. On <strong>February</strong> 2nd local TV<br />
channel and newspaper covered the activity.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 23rd SFP Mongolia organized national volunteer<br />
seminar with presentations on volunteering, volunteers’ projects,<br />
cultural performances, and discussions about development of<br />
communications among national volunteer organizations. Total<br />
50 volunteers participated.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 23-24 SFP Mongolia conducted a workshop on<br />
“Conservation of nature”. The purpose of this two day workshop<br />
was to prepare volunteer teachers who give environmental education.<br />
Total 10 national volunteer organizations representatives<br />
and 2 SFP club members participated in the workshop.<br />
Ukraine On <strong>February</strong> 21st a Service project called “My future is<br />
in my hands” was held by the New Peak NGO and SFP-Ukraine<br />
with the administration’s support in Zhytomir State University on<br />
the occasion of the World Day of Mother Tongue. There were 253<br />
participants. A nice concert with Ukrainian and Korean songs<br />
was organized, too.<br />
Belarus In <strong>February</strong> there was active preparation to the 1st International<br />
Festival of Disabled children “Wings of Childhood”.<br />
During this project exhibitions of disabled children’s works and<br />
their performances were organized. The Festival concluded on<br />
March 2nd with charity gala-concert with participation of famous<br />
Belarusian variety stars. Concert gathered audience of more<br />
than 1000 people.<br />

UPF Summit, <strong>February</strong> 9-12, Seoul-CheonPyong, Korea<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 9-12 UPF held the 3rd World Peace Summit in<br />
Seoul, Korea. Eurasian delegation was represented by 25 participants<br />
from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan,<br />
Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Peoples Republic of China,<br />
Russia and Ukraine.<br />

and sponsorship over this project. Pres. Stanislav Shushkevich<br />
spoke at the opening of the program. He called Ambassadors for<br />
Peace to more actively promote the ideals of True Parents.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 12 all the participants of the Summit attended True<br />
Parents Birthday at Cheon Jeong Gung Palace. They were deeply<br />
impressed by True Father’s message and healthy appearance.<br />
The program started every day by Interreligious meditation and<br />
prayer service it was conducted by representatives of various<br />
faiths and reading Hoon Dok Hwe. Dr. Kwak spoke at the opening<br />
of the program on April 10. Next day, Hyun Jin Nim gave a plenary<br />
address to the guests of the Summit.<br />
National UPF activities<br />
Mongolia In <strong>February</strong> active preparations for the Mongolian<br />
Dream Year campaign were taking place in Mongolia. Preparations<br />
included several events, such as opening event in Bayangol<br />
district, Ulaanbaatar, on <strong>February</strong> 18. About 50 participants attended<br />
the event, including Chairman of District Citizens’ Representative,<br />
Sub-District Governor, Social Workers and Heads of<br />
the Elders’ Associations. On <strong>February</strong> 20 UPF Mongolia met with<br />
representatives of 5 social organizations which work on family<br />
issues. On <strong>February</strong> 22nd “Mongolian Dream and Business” Forum<br />
took place in the Government Palace, Ulaanbaatar. About<br />
100 businessmen attended.<br />
From <strong>February</strong> 23rd UPF launched regular weekly 30 minutes TV<br />
program on UBS TV about Mongolian Dream Campaign. Also on<br />
that day Secretary General of UPF Mongolia was interviewed on<br />
Eagle TV for 30 minutes about the Campaign and its value.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 12-15 UPF conducted leadership education program<br />
in Ulaanbaatar for 21 participants. Everyday they had lessons<br />
from 4:00 pm till 8:00 pm.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 27 UPF held a meeting with 25 heads of the Language<br />
Departments of Universities. There was a discussion<br />
about translating and developing UPF Character Education Series<br />
Discovering Real Me.
Russia UPF Russia and the Russian National Peace Council conducted<br />
on <strong>February</strong> 25 a Seminar for the core Ambassadors for<br />
Peace. The audience of the program was 20 participants. The<br />
topic of the program was “Peace Philosophy and Peacemaking<br />
Practice”. The seminar addressed the key philosophical teaching<br />
of UPF and the concept of the Global Peace Festival. One of presenters<br />
was Pastor Anatoly Blinkov. In organizing this program<br />
the target is to set up a standard curriculum for Ambassadors<br />
for Peace and Global Peace Festival partners. There is a plan to<br />
conduct similar programs on a monthly basis.<br />
Moldova On <strong>February</strong> 22nd UPF Moldova held round table lunching<br />
of the book Family and Culture of Peace in Moldova with authors<br />
who contributed their essays to the book, Ambassadors for<br />
Peace and other guests. All participants confi rmed their commitment<br />
to participate in the work of the projects started within the<br />
conference sections.<br />
Estonia On 16 January UPF Estonia held an introduction-presentation<br />
on the objective and activities of UPF in a countryside<br />
community, with which we have carried out two IRFF projects in<br />
the past.<br />
Georgia On Wednesdays UPF Georgia conducts meetings and<br />
Divine Principle lectures for Ambassadors for Peace. On <strong>February</strong><br />
15 during meeting with AFP it was decided to have an art-literature<br />
national competition among schools dedicated to Peace<br />
Building as a part of preparation for Global Peace Festival in autumn<br />
<strong>2008</strong>. AFP’s took initiative and will organize and conduct<br />
this event.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 28 UPF Georgia staff met a school director from<br />
Kutaisi who wants to use program on Tolerance Education in his<br />
school and promote it in Ministry of Education as well.<br />
UPF Mass Media means development<br />
Video Materials Preparation<br />
UPF Eurasia offi ce is regularly interviewing the most prominent<br />
Ambassadors for Peace and UPF contacts. The topics are on the<br />
Global Peace Festival and UPF Peacemaking initiatives. These<br />
video materials are available for the nations of our region and<br />
Russian cities. Among the video materials are lectures at UPF<br />
seminars, interviews, minutes of UPF meetings. The materials<br />
are posted at www.eurasia.upf.org site.<br />
Internet Radio “Golosa Mira” Broadcasting<br />
The internet Radio “Golosa Mira”<br />
(Voices of Peace) that is broadcasted<br />
at http://www.eurasia.upf.org/<br />
golosa_mira.m3u works 24 hours. It<br />
has the most recent recordings of UPF programs and testimonies<br />
from Ambassadors for Peace. The radio allows the Ambassadors<br />
for Peace and members who do not have access to UPF<br />
meetings directly, to see samples of UPF meetings and encouraging<br />
news internationally.<br />

UPF Eurasia Internet Site Development<br />
Starting from <strong>February</strong> <strong>2008</strong>, the Internet Portal www.eurasia.<br />
upf.org is put in accordance with UPF International guidelines. It<br />
serves as the most up to date source of information and news<br />
about the Universal Peace Federation. The portal is in the Russian<br />
language. It has an English Language menu and reference<br />
to the International UPF site. The site specifi cally covers UPF Eurasian<br />
activities and feature.<br />

WFWP Activities Report<br />
Mongolia WFWP Mongolia organized handwork training for<br />
women of Red Cross Assembly team. Women were happy and<br />
inspired because they learned how to make slippers and briefcases<br />
by themselves. Trainings will be held twice a month.<br />
WFWP Mongolia announced that this year will be “Peaceful Family”<br />
year. Following the proclamation WFWP Mongolia announced<br />
essay contest under the same theme among high school students.<br />
Finals of the contest which will decide the best composition<br />
will be held in April <strong>2008</strong> in Mongolian Children Palace.<br />
China (Hong Kong) The Spring Festival Gala was organized by the<br />
Hong Kong Women Federation. Mrs. Ramona KING, the WFWP<br />
HK President, was one of the organizing committee members.<br />

A community celebration for the<br />
Chinese Valentine’s Day took<br />
place on the January 15 of the<br />
Lunar Calendar. (<strong>February</strong> 21st,<br />
<strong>2008</strong>) It was organized by the<br />
District Councilor, Mr. Lee Chi<br />
Hang, who is also Ambassador<br />
for Peace. WFWP was one of the<br />
supporting organizations. The<br />
celebration was conducted on the open space of that district.<br />
There were games, singing, magic performances, etc.<br />
Estonia The local chapter of WFWP Estonia held monthly meeting<br />
on <strong>February</strong> 16 with 9 women in attendance, three of them<br />
guests. One of blessed sisters gave a PP-Presentation.<br />
Ukraine On <strong>February</strong> 21st WFWP Ukraine held a meeting in the<br />
school of Bravarskiy region inviting a famous writer and war veteran,<br />
Mr. Sezonenko. This year was the 90 year anniversary of<br />
the Army. This meeting with 70 pupils was aimed at educating<br />
patriotic feelings and love towards one’s country.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 22nd WFWP Ukraine together with the “People for<br />
justice” editorial have invited famous war veterans like: the director<br />
of the Kyiv veterans’ council, the director of veterans’ char-
ity fund, the director of the veterans’ council of “Arsenal” plant,<br />
etc. The issue discussed was how to infl uence the education of<br />
the young generation as well as changes happening in the army<br />
structure.<br />

Tong-Il Moo-Do Activities Report<br />
5th Moldova Tong-Il Moo-Do Championship, <strong>February</strong> 23<br />
The 5th Moldova TIMD Championship took place on <strong>February</strong><br />
23rd, in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. For the fi rst time we have<br />
invited participants from Tae Kwon-do ITF Federation. The championship<br />
consisted of two compartments: sparring and forms. A<br />
total number of 27 participants have participated: 19 of them<br />
– TIMD members and 8 – Tae Kwon-do members. Tae Kwon-do<br />
has brought black belts, national, international and world champions.<br />
All the participants have shown a high technical level. Tae<br />
Kwon-do participants have shown a very high level of preparation,<br />
however they met a severe resistance from TIMD colored<br />
belts.<br />
Later Tae Kwon-do sportsmen shared that TIMD technique is<br />
pretty similar to Tae Kwon-do, but TIMD is much stronger when<br />
fi ghting on the ground.<br />

Northeast Regional Monthly <strong>News</strong>letter<br />
and 2 dodjans in Samara for about 80 students. On <strong>February</strong> 3rd<br />
promotion test was held for 7 students in Samara. As the result<br />
all of them received yellow belts. On <strong>February</strong> 17 preparations<br />
workshop for competition was held in Ulyanovsk.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 16 WUSHU Open Tournament of Republic Bashkortostan<br />
was held in Ufa city. 15 sportsmen of TIMD school participated<br />
in the tournament. As the result 3 sportsmen won 1st<br />
place, 5 won 2nd place, and 4 won 3rd place.<br />
On <strong>February</strong> 21st sportsmen participated in the TIMD demonstration<br />
during the entertainment organized by City Sports center.<br />
Lithuania In <strong>February</strong> TIMD members of Lithuania continued<br />
regular trainings, 3 times a week. The main focus of this month<br />
was on aerobic endurance, strength, muscular endurance, body<br />
fl exibility.<br />
