PERÚ Ampiyacu, Apayacu, Yaguas, Medio Putumayo (AAYMP) fig.2 La región del Ampiyacu, Apayacu, Yaguas y Medio Putumayo está dominada por extensos bosques de tierra firme en colinas bajas, con algunos parches de bosque pantanoso o de planicie aluvial. En esta imagen compuesta de satélite destacamos los pueblos y ríos cercanos a los sitios del inventario biológico rapido. Adicionalmente, identificamos las 28 comunidades dentro y cercana a la Zona Reservada propuesta, e indicamos su afiliación a una de las tres federaciones indígenas en la región./ Immense stretches of upland forest on low, rolling hills dominate the Ampiyacu, Apayacu, Yaguas, and Medio Putumayo region, with swamp and floodplain forests patchily distributed across the landscape. In this composite satellite image we highlight the towns and major rivers close to the inventory sites. Additionally, we identify the 28 communities inside and near the proposed Reserved Zone, and indicate their affiliation with one of the three indigenous federations in the region.
