in the U. S. Mil. Mar Hannah. Chil-
dren : Ellen, Lawrence, Hannah, John, Anna, Sarah, Meribah. D 1828. Came
from Philadelphia in 1811 to Goshen Twp. He was a member of the Society of
Friends, was appointed on an Executive Court of Central Indiana Superintendency of

1776, member of Conn Tr under Col Matthew Talcott and Samuel Selden, Capt
was in battle
John Cochran, and Elisha Chapman, served as Pvt, Corp & Sgt ;
of White Plains, Rhode Island, Jamestown, and taking of Cornwallis. In Capt John
Hart's Company, Col Samuel Webb's Regt. 1777-1781 ; served as Sgt— ranked as
Corp in company drafted from Third Conn Regt to serve at the southward under
command of Marquis de Lafayette in 1781. Br Dec 10, 1758, Sayhrook, Conn. D
1882 aged 64 yrs. So stone states. Bur Cem at Stow, where he was a pioneer.
Presbyterian of the old school, a deacon ; organized a class in this New Conn and
