from Philadelphia in 1811 to Goshen Twp. He was a member of the Society of<br />

Friends, was appointed on an Executive Court of Central Indiana Superintendency of<br />

was in battle<br />

John Cochran, and Elisha Chapman, served as Pvt, Corp & Sgt ;<br />

of White Plains, Rhode Island, Jamestown, and taking of Cornwallis. In Capt John<br />

Hart's Company, Col Samuel Webb's Regt. 1777-1781 ; served as Sgt— ranked as<br />

Corp in company drafted from Third Conn Regt to serve at the southward under<br />

command of Marquis de Lafayette in 1781. Br Dec 10, 1758, Sayhrook, Conn. D<br />

1882 aged 64 yrs. So stone states. Bur Cem at Stow, where he was a pioneer.<br />

Presbyterian of the old school, a deacon ; organized a class in this New Conn and<br />
