power consumption rapidly.

Effective use of IT (Green IT) greatly helps
reducing society’s energy consumption: 2% vs 98%

Background of Green IT
Data traffic on the Internet will be 100 to 200 times
greater in 2025. IT power consumption is estimated
to grow 5-10 fold in 2025 than that of today.
IT and electronics technologies is expected to
generate greater productivity in all economic and
social activities, boosting efficiency in production,
logistics, administration and even IT use itself.

Why Green IT should be accelerated
in Thailand
1. Thailand is already a world production and
service center, being expected to sustain.
growth into the future by using Green IT.
2. Green IT will reduce cost!
(= strengthen competitiveness of industries)
3. Green IT resolves global warming as a key
