9 offer the board and, per the recorders requei -t, the president
10 granted a closed hearing at the culmination of the unclassified
11 hearing.

13 (U) The president announced the coricsion of the unclassified
14 hearing.

16 (U) The president of the board instructed th(, detainee that he
17 would be notified of the board's decision wihin a couple of
18 weeks and that he would be released if the d(!cision is made that
19 further internmen7. would not be required. however, if the board
20 decided that further internment is required, he would be
21 retained at the Detention Facility in Parwan, transferred to
22 Afghan authorities for participation in a reconciliation
23 program, or released transferred to his national country for
24 participation in a reconciliation program. Furthermore, if
25 continued internment was recommended, then an additional
26 Detainee Review Board would be reconvened in IG months.
