UEIL HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS
The Health and Environment Committee has been created to provide UEIL members with information
with respect to the key Health, Safety and Environmental issues related to the Lubricants Industry
within Europe. In order to provide this information and to offer regular updates the Committee
meets for a minimum of three meetings per year and offers an annual report at the UEIL General
Assembly.

Marco Banfi Currently Technical Director for LUBRA spa,
industrial lubrication specialist, based near
Milan, Italy
Marco is involved in industrial lubrication for
over 30 years, and joined Lubra in 1986.
He is Coordinator of Technical Group of GAIL,
the Association of Italian Industrial
Lubrication Companies, and member of
Economic and Technical Committee of SSOG,

Laetitia Chauvy Chemical and Process Engineer (Institute of
industrial chemical and physics of LYON-
FRANCE)- Environment option
Laetitia joined Condat in 1996 and since 2004,
she is Products Regulatory Affairs Engineer
for all Condat's lubricants. In this position, she
is in charge of the Biocide Directive and of the
REACH compliance .
Prior to that, she held the following positions
within Condat:
1996-2003: Laboratory Research Assistant for
the development of metal working fluids
2003-2004: Chemical Process Engineer
Tony Jones Lubrizol UK
Tony has been involved in both technical and
sales roles within the Metalworking fluids
industry for over 30 years.
Currently performing a sales and technology
role at Lubrizol Industrial Additives based in
Hazelwood UK.
Tony sits on the UKLA MWF Product
Stewardship Group and is currently the group
treasurer.
Daniele Kleinmann Rhenus Lub GmbH & Co KG,
Mönchengladbach.
Daniele is currently manager technical
support and product manager for deforming
products. Daniele has been working in the
lubrication field for approx. 15 years with
experiences in the laboratory, sales, technical
support and product management.
Daniele is a Chemical Engineer of University
Applied Science/Aachen

Edwin Leber After an apprenticeship as chemical assistant
Edwin graduated a study and got a degree in
chemical engineering. Then he started his
career at Opel in 1981 as materials engineer
for fuels and lubricants. Over the years he got
additional responsibilities and finally before
he left Opel he was leading the General
Motors Europe Team for “Fuels, Lubricants
and Chemistry”.
Since 1st of April he now took over new
responsibilities as Technical Manager of the
UNITI mineral oil consulting agency.
He has now more than 27 years experience in
the field of fuels and lubricants including
active membership in several international
work groups like ACEA; CEN; VDA; ISO, etc.
Dr Jürgen Müller Currently General Manager of Oemeta
Chemische Werke GmbH, based in Hamberg,
Germany.

Study at the University of Braunscweig,
Germany, graduation Dr. rer. Nat. 10/1969
Employment in the Scientific Department of
Reemtsma in Hamburg (1/70 – 5/71)
Member of Different Committees (e.g. DIN,

environmental working groups).
Manager for Metalworking at TOTAL
LUBRIFIANTS. Doctor-Engineer in
Electrochemistry & Analytical
Electrochemistry (INPG, Grenoble, France),
“Certified Metalworking Fluids Specialist”,
STLE, Park Ridge, IL, USA, Product
development, application & marketing
experience in industrial lubricants and
metalworking fluids.

Miguel Angel Taberner FUCHS LUBRICANTES, S.A.
Graduated in chemistry from Facultat de
Ciencias Químicas de la Universidad de
Barcelona.
Working at FUCHS LUBRICANTES, S.A. from
January 1995. Responsible of Cleaner and
Phosphating laboratory and of the checking of
“Safety Data Sheet” of products (Directive
1999/45/CE) and the labelling of products
under the REACH application.
