CitySoul blends classic and contemporary style in a unique ellipsoidal form that is as attractive as it is
versatile. Available in two housing sizes, CitySoul can be specified with a wide variety of sources that
provide sustainable solutions, including induction systems and the new advanced white light ceramic
metal halide CosmoPolis or MasterColor ® Elite systems. CitySoul offers the flexibility of mast arm
mounting as well as the sleek P1 mounting that effortlessly transitions the luminaire to the pole top.
With its Type II distribution and a variety of light trespass control accessories designed specifically
for urban environments, CitySoul performs well and looks great at the same time.

CitySoul is notable for much more than its form. It has been designated as a Philips
Gardco Green Team product for its highly energy-efficient technologies, including
the revolutionary CosmoPolis or MasterColor ® Elite white light systems,
which use up to 50% less energy than traditional outdoor lighting systems while
providing bright, attractive light. As a result, CitySoul increases comfort, safety
and security while making streetscapes and pedestrian walkways more attractive.

CONSTRUCTION
Cities are changing, and CitySoul offers maximum flexibility to
whatever challenges await. Its stylish, die cast housing conceals
rugged, high-strength construction that keeps the optical
system protected at all times, ensuring a long life of powerful
performance. More importantly, CitySoul makes environments
more attractive, comfortable and safe, enhancing the public’s
sense of well-being and civic pride.
High-Performance Optical System
The optic is suitable for a variety of mounting heights.
Its optical system creates a highly efficient and effective
Type II distribution pattern. The result is optimized
performance for streets and pedestrian walkways.
Rugged Components
CitySoul is constructed of die cast components. Both
the housing and door frame are aluminum die castings
finished in a textured TGIC polyester powdercoat. The
door provides toolless access for ease of maintenance.

Quality, Weather-Protected
Construction
CitySoul’s outer shell is die cast
aluminum, and inner components are
made of composite polymers, ensuring
that the luminaire will remain strong
and rugged in any environment. It
is completely sealed at all points of
material transition to exclude rain,
insects and dust, resulting in a longer
life for the luminaire. CitySoul is IP65
rated with independent certification.
Light Trespass Controls
A number of louvers and
shields are available to
control CitySoul’s light
trespass, making it suitable
for any environment – even
residential areas.
Unitized Ballast Assembly
Depending on the choice of lamp,
CitySoul features a high power-factor
electronic or magnetic HID ballast
mounted on a unitized plate that houses
all electrical components. This selfcontained
gear tray is easily accessed
and is equipped with quick electrical
disconnects for easy, trouble-free
maintenance. Electronic and magnetic
HID ballasts are capable of providing
reliable lamp starting down to -20°F /
-29°C, and all electrical components
are UL-recognized and factory-tested.

SERVICE
The integrated die cast latch allows for
toolless entry to the luminaire housing.
The die cast door hinges for

The CosmoPolis and MasterColor ® Elite systems’ improved visibility,
higher efficiency and compact size lead to a wealth of environmentally
vironmentally
friendly advantages. Because of their highly visible, energy-efficient rgy-efficient
white light, fewer luminaires are needed to light areas to desired
levels, resulting in substantial savings and reduced
environmental impact in both the short and long term.
Both systems feature highly efficient lamps and ballasts
to reduce CO2 greenhouse gas emissions, and their long
lifespan reduces the need to manufacture replacements
or dispose of used materials. Even the manufacturing
and packaging of the CosmoPolis and MasterColor ®

Elite systems is environmentally conscious thanks to its
convenient, flexible small size.
All told, the CosmoPolis and MasterColor ® Elite systems
use up to 50% less energy than traditional outdoor lighting
systems, and both typically lower the cost of energy up to 40%
