Looking to get a jump-start on the intense M2 motorcycle course (DRIV-9025)? Planning on buying<br />
a motorcycle but never ridden one? Want to nd out if the riding lifestyle is for you?<br />
Check this out!<br />
Introduction to Motorcycling is a three-hour course where you will learn how to properly<br />
balance and start a motorcycle, basic clutch control and bring the bike to a stop in a straight<br />
line. Learn from experienced instructors on <strong>Fanshawe</strong> supplied motorcycles.<br />
Pre-requisites<br />
Students MUST provide a D.O.T. approved helmet with shield or eye protection, long sleeved substantial<br />
jacket, leather gloves (cover ngers), long pants, low heeled over the ankle leather boots. Dress for the<br />
weather (rain gear, waterproof boots, etc.) as this course will run rain or shine.<br />
Running shoes are NOT allowed. An M1 licence is NOT required.<br />
Students will be required to sign a waiver at the beginning of the course. If a student is under the age of<br />
18, a parent or legal guardian must attend the rst 1/2 hour of the course to co-sign the course waiver.<br />

M2 Licence DRIV-9025<br />
Learn to ride a motorcycle the right way! <strong>Fanshawe</strong> <strong>College</strong> oers this course in coordination<br />
with the Canada Safety Council. Our experienced, certied instructors will teach you basic<br />
riding concepts and skills necessary for safe handling of the motorcycle on the road. You will<br />
practice techniques such as balancing the motorcycle, the correct use of brakes, proper clutch<br />
control and gear changes. Learn to ride a motorcycle in a safe environment supervised by our<br />
professional training team. Motorcycles are provided by the college.<br />
Learn From The Best<br />
As part of your in-class study, you will receive a Canada Safety Council student kit which<br />
includes the Canada Safety Council's Motorcycle Rider's Handbook. The practical portion of<br />
the course is done on the <strong>College</strong>'s training grounds. You will be provided with quality step<br />
by step instruction from our certied instructors on successful handling of a motorcycle.<br />
Ensure safe riding techniques by learning defensive riding strategies and risk<br />
awareness skills.<br />
Obtain An M2 Licence<br />
At the end of the course, you will be tested by our sta licenced by the MTO, and if successful, will receive<br />
your M2 licence. Even though this test is challenging, we have an exceptional success rate.<br />

course. Students MUST provide a D.O.T. approved helmet with shield or eye protection, long<br />
sleeved substantial jacket, leather gloves (cover ngers), long pants, low heeled over the ankle<br />
leather boots. Dress for the weather (rain gear, waterproof boots, etc.) as this course will run<br />
rain or shine. Running shoes are not allowed.<br />

Courses are available in three formats. Although each course provides the same number<br />
of training hours, the weekend and weekday formats require very long hours of riding.<br />

M2 Exit Training and Test DRIV-9030<br />
Get more enjoyment from motorcycling by increasing your riding skill and condence through<br />
qualied, professional instruction. Using their own motorcycles, our students improve their riding<br />
ability in a controlled environment with real life road experience.<br />
Reap The Benefits<br />
Everyone benets from driver education. Good driving habits and safety procedures are as<br />
important to the experienced rider as they are to the new rider. Ensure safe riding techniques<br />
by learning defensive riding strategies and risk awareness skills.<br />
Prepare For The Test... Take The Test<br />
Discover and correct bad riding habits you don't even know you have. Our instructors will<br />
guide you through in-class theory, practice range riding, and plenty of road course riding.<br />
Weaknesses in technique are quickly identied and corrected. You will build condence by<br />
participating in a mock test prior to taking the exam.<br />
At the end of the training program, our senior sta, authorized by the MTO, will administer<br />
the Class "M" road test (M2 Exit). The M2 Exit Training and Test for Motorcyclists course is oered<br />
in cooperation with the Canada Safety Council.<br />

Students must have their own motorcycle with proof of valid insurance, ownership and a valid M2<br />
licence. They also must have held the M2 for a period of more than 18 months with successful<br />
completion of Motorcycle Driver Education (22 months without Driver Education).<br />
