<strong>Call</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Worship</strong>: <strong>**</strong> <strong>Based</strong> on Psalm 81:1-10
L: Raise a song, sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with
the harp.
P: Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on
our feast day.
L: For it is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of
Jacob, who made it a decree in Joseph, when God went out
over the land of Egypt.
P: I hear a voice I do not know: “I relieved your shoulder
of the burden; your hands were freed from the basket.
L: In distress you called, and I delivered you; I answered you
in the secret place of thunder; I tested you at the waters of
Meribah.
P: Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you
would but listen <strong>to</strong> me!
L: There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not
bow down <strong>to</strong> a foreign god.
A: I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of

Invocation:
O God, the light of our life and the hope of our world, we
come before you with clouded minds and restless hearts.
We cannot make peace with ourselves until we make
peace with you. So we pray that you will let the sun of
your love burst upon us in all its glory. Let its raging fire
burn away the shame of our sin. Let its healing warmth
purify the motives of our hearts. And let its transforming
light reveal the person in whose image you made us, that
we might worship you as you are and serve you as we
ought. Amen

UNICEF Sunday
Next Sunday is our Canvas for UNICEF. Soup and sandwich
lunch will be provided for canvassers and helping adults
immediately following church. Thanks <strong>to</strong> generous supporters
of UNICEF our contributions will be matched again this year.
With our support needy children in many locations around the
world will receive clean water, immunizations, medical care
and emergency support needed <strong>to</strong> survive. Bring your loose
coin next week. The children will start by canvasing the
congregation during the Children’s Time.
Annual Charge Conference
Our Annual Charge Conference meeting will be on
November 4 th at 3:00 pm in the dining room. We will go over
nominations for the various committees that need <strong>to</strong> be voted
in<strong>to</strong> position, review the Pas<strong>to</strong>r’s Compensation Package, and
receive and disburse funds received over the year from wills,
estates and benefac<strong>to</strong>rs. We hope <strong>to</strong> see you there!
