All aquariums, from the smallest to the largest, need some degree of technical support to stay attractive and to function in the long term. This brochure describes the technical products designed by JBL for clean and healthy water. Don’t be afraid that aquarium equipment might be too complicated. Not only scientists work in the research department but also aquarium-keepers who always check that the equipment is simple to install and operate. Equipment such as CO 2 systems and ground heating can be found in the JBL Plant care brochure WWH No. 6. Lighting equipment Introduction for aquariums is described in Brochure No. 7. Both brochures are, of course, also available to download on the JBL Homepage at www.jbl.de. Saltwater: JBL CristalProfi Filters can be used in freshwater as well as in saltwater. For saltwater we recommend selecting a somewhat larger filter and supplementing it with a protein skimmer. This combination has also been used with great success by experts. JBL 3
