EDITORIAL<br />
The South East Europe has a high<br />
potential for innovation yet is suffering<br />
from missing synergy between<br />
stakeholders to enable and maintain<br />
innovation transfer. The ongoing integration<br />
process within Europe must be<br />
seen as a chance to overcome this lack.<br />
To align research efforts of different<br />
research groups in the area towards<br />
commonly agreed directions in the<br />
embedded systems and industrial informatics<br />
sectors the I3E project developed<br />
a Strategic Research Agenda for<br />
South East Europe, which identifies<br />
synergies and potentials for the South<br />
East European region reflecting the<br />
strong confidence of stakeholders in<br />
the future of the region.<br />
