76 Nutrient Pad Sets Culture Media in Petri dishes, with matching membrane filters, for reliable, time-saving Quality Control Sartorius Nutrient Pads are 50 mm diameter absorbent pads which have been uniformly impregnated with a standard culture medium, then dried and sterilized in Petri dishes. They eliminate time-consuming and labourintensive preparation of culture media, are of consistent high quality and have shelf lives of from 9 to 24 months, according to type. A simple wetting with sterile demineralized water reactivates them for use. They are available with 21 different media, and are supplied as Nutrient Pad Sets, which additionally contain sterile, individually packed membrane filters, of pore size and colour chosen according to the requirements of the individual medium, for optimum colony growth and convenience of colony counting. The various types, and the microorganisms they detect, are listed on the right.
