Lloyd Nix Facts:
Nix has two daughters and six
granddaughters — all Auburn fans of
course.
“It’s Great to be an Auburn Tiger!” is
Nix’s favorite Auburn cheer.
Since 1954, Nix has missed only
two Iron Bowls: In 1963 and 1964,
he was unable to attend because he
was serving in the United States Air
Force.
Nix’s prediction for Auburn’s next
great championship football team:
“I had thought it would be in ’08,
but the problem is, we will go into
the season with an inexperienced
quarterback. If he can learn all he
needs to learn, then I think we have
a chance to be a great team.”
