I am glad to welcome you to Ericsson Madrid R&D celebration of our 25th Anniversary.
As a part of this celebration different activities will be organized for internal and external attendants.
Sharing knowledge and experience is crucial for success. We want to take this opportunity to show our distinguished guests how Madrid
R&D is contributing to innovation and cutting edge technology in the areas of User & Data Management and Traffic Management.
You will have the opportunity to attend different briefings, discussion panels, demos and workshops. You also will be able to travel back in
time across a history hall and have a glance at a retrospective of the evolution of Madrid R&D during the last 25 years.

Improving User Experience with Smartpipe solutions
This demo shows how, using SAPC and SASN products developed
at EEM, the network becomes smarter, enabling each user to receive
what he needs with the best possible user experience.

Mobile Cloud Accelerator (MCA)
This demo shows how end-user Internet experiences such as
enterprise applications and internet content can be improved thanks
to the mobile cloud acceleration solution from Ericsson and Akamai
strategic alliance.

Seamless Traffic Off-loading with SAPC-ANDSF
The demo shows the capability of the operator to offload traffic to
another access network (e.g., WLAN or 3G) when the user streams
a videoclip. This is achieved by setting up user policies in a policy
controller (PCRF) together with an ANDSF node.

Service Awareness for IPv6 traffic
IPv6 is here! This demo shows how SASN can perform deep packet
inspection of IPv6 packets in the same way as IPv4 traffic.

It began with HLR
This demo will be a time travel from HLR birth up to now. What main
telecom challenges the original HLR had to face and how Ericsson
overcame them through innovation and a lot of hard work. It will show
how this innovation created new nodes like HSS and CUDB and how
the Ericsson User Data Consolidation Solution is prepared for the
Networked Society age.

This demo will show a real setup of a virtualized Core and IMS network

CUDB Data Views
“CUDB views” is a new CUDB functionality that allows you to provide
alternative views of the CUDB data model. This example demo will
show how to configure and use the views functionality.

Stream Analytics applied to Smartgrid
In this demo, we use the electricity demanding and generation
forecast problem to illustrate the value of stream analytics
techniques over traditional approaches. The user will be to able to
generate changes in the demanding patterns by emulating unusual
behaviors and generatoing unusual unexpected circumstances to
increase the forecasting of wind energy generation.

Data Stream Processing applied to Real-time Mobile
advertising
In this demo Data Stream Processing technology is applied over a
telecommunications network to enable a Real-time Mobile Advertisement
System. Continuous streams of information from several
sources are processed so that advertisements generated are based
on the user’s context, interests and profile, enabling a proactive
advertising system which seeks to know to Who, When, What and
How the ads have to be sent.
