Welcome letter P1 - The English School

Dear Preschool 1 Parents of 2012-13,
We warmly welcome you and your child to the Preschool of The English School,
Helsinki. In our Preschool 1 program, we are committed to create a fun and playful
environment for children to learn and develop. Throughout the year, children can look
forward to a variety of exciting topics and themes, which offer both structured
challenges and space to express themselves.
On the first day of preschool your child will need to bring along some slippers to wear
indoors and a school bag (minimum size A4). All other material will be provided by the
school.
Please find below our schedule for the first couple of weeks:
Thursday 9.8.2012 Registration day (parents only). Location is the P1 classrooms,
please arrive between 12 and 3pm. Registration involves filling
in a couple of forms and it takes only a few minutes.
Friday 10.8. First day of preschool! Children are to be waiting at the side
door (please find picture below) at 12pm. School finishes on
this day at 3pm.
Monday 13.8. Parents’ Information Evening at 6pm. (Location to be advised)
Mon 13.8 – Fri 17.8. Preschool 1 has a shortened schedule from 12-3pm. Normal
schedule (12-4pm) begins from Monday 20.8.
