Materials: 1 100gskein <strong>Estelle</strong> Cloud Cotton2 buttons (one decorative for outside, one flat for inside)<br />

4 mm & 4.5mm needles<br />

Abbreviations: K- knitP- purl<br />

YO- yarn over<br />

K2tog- knit two together<br />

Seed Stitch: K1, P1, repeat to end of row<br />

Tension: 20 stitches over 4” using 4.5 mm needle. Change needle size if necessary to obtain correct tension.<br />

Sizes: 0-6 month/ 6-12 month/ 12-18 month<br />

Finished chest measurement approx 20”/ 22”/24”<br />

Back<br />

With 4mm needles, cast on 50 (55, 60) sts. Work 6 rows in seed stitch.<br />

Change to larger needles, work in st st until back measures 8.5” (10”, 11.5”) from cast on, ALWAYS knitting the first and last stitch<br />

of every row to create a selvage st. Put stitches on a holder.<br />

Right Front<br />

With 4 mm needles, cast on 42 (47, 52) sts. Work 6 rows in seed stitch.<br />

Change to 4.5mm needles.<br />

*RS- Work 3 stitches in seed stitch (edge), work in st st to end of row, always knitting last stitch.<br />

WS- K1, P38 (43, 48) seed stitch last 3 stitches.<br />

Repeat from * until 5” (6.5”, 8”) from cast on, ending with a WS row.<br />

Neck Edge<br />

RS-Cast off 7 (9, 11)stitches, knit to end of row.<br />

*WS- K1, P to end of row.<br />

RS- Cast off 2 stitches, knit to end of row.<br />

Repeat from * until 12 (18, 20) stitches remain.<br />

Leave 12 (18, 20) remaining stitches on a holder.<br />

Left Front<br />

With 4 mm needles, cast on 42 (47, 52) stitches.<br />

Knit 6 rows in seed stitch.<br />

Change to 4.5 mm needles.<br />

*RS- K38 (43, 48) work in seed stitch for last 3 stitches (edge).<br />

WS- Work in seed stitch first 3 stitches, P38 (43, 48), K1.<br />

Continue from * until 5” (6.5”, 8”) from cast on row ending with a RS row.<br />

Neck Edge<br />

WS- Cast off 7 (9, 11) stitches, P to last stitch, K1.<br />

*RS-K.<br />

WS-Cast off 2 stitches, P to last stitch, K1.<br />

Repeat from * until 12 stitches remain.<br />

Leave 12 (18, 16)remaining stitches on a holder.<br />

Sleeves (make 2)<br />

With 4 mm needles, cast on 32 (38, 42) stitches.<br />

Work in seed stitch for 6 rows.<br />

Change to 4.5 mm needles and work in st st, knitting the first & last stitch of every row to create a selvage. When sleeve measures 5<br />

(6, 7)” from beg, cast off.<br />

Join right front and left front pieces to back using the 3 needle bind-off technique. Leave the centre stitches of the back piece on a<br />

holder.<br />

Neck Band<br />

With 4mm needles, cast on 4 sts. With RS of right front facing, pick up approximately 89 (93, 97) stitches around the neck edge.<br />

Work 2 rows in seed stitch.<br />

Button hole row- With WS facing, work 2 sts in seed stitch, YO, K2tog, continue in seed stitch until last 3 sts, YO, K2tog, work last<br />

stitch as per the pattern.<br />

Work 2 rows in seed stitch. Cast off.<br />

Sew in sleeves.


Sew side seams using selvage stitches along edge to keep seams flat.<br />

Sew on buttons.<br />

Weave in ends.<br />

Small <strong>Hat</strong>- 12” circumference<br />

Materials<br />

1 100 gram skein of <strong>Estelle</strong> Cloud Cotton<br />

4.5 mm double pointed needles<br />

Cast on 54 stitches and join in the round being careful not to twist.<br />

Work in seed stitch for 4 rounds.<br />

Continue in stocking stitch for 2”.<br />

Begin decrease<br />

Round 1- *K7, K2tog* rep from * to * for one round.<br />

Round 2 and alt rounds- Knit<br />

Repeat these two rounds until 3 stitches remain.<br />

Work remaining stitches in i-cord until desired length.<br />

Weave yarn through remaining stitches.<br />

Weave in ends.<br />

Tie i-cord in a knot.<br />

Large <strong>Hat</strong>- 13” circumference<br />

Materials<br />

1 100 gram skein of <strong>Estelle</strong> Cloud Cotton<br />

4.5 mm double pointed needles<br />

Cast on 60 stitches<br />

Work in seed stitch for 4 rounds.<br />

Continue in stocking stitch for 2.5”<br />

Begin decrease<br />

Round 1- K8, K2tog.<br />

Round 2- knit.<br />

Round 3- knit.<br />

Continue decrease rounds until 3 sts remain.<br />

Work remaining stitches in I-cord until desired length.<br />

Weave in yarn through remaining stitches.<br />

Weave in ends.<br />

Tie I-cord in a knot.<br />

Cast on 124 stitches. Knit 10 rows in garter stitch<br />

Work in ridge stitch pattern until blanket measures approximately 30”.<br />

Work 10 rows in garter stitch.<br />

Cast off. Weave in ends.<br />
