Since 1919 the Eberhard Göbel family has been
developing special umbrellas with new product
features adequate to the outstanding quality
of materials. The long-standing philosophy of our
company which is still family-owned includes
functional design, latest materials and perfect
workmanship.
How the umbrella is reinvented
For sports and leisure purposes, we select high
grade and lightweight composite fibreglass
materials, lightweight and resistant metal alloys
and the latest fabrics to offer the customers
really innovative, contemporary products. The
company has improved nearly every functional
part of the umbrellas and there is no comparison to
ordinary standard umbrellas. Many tools are unique
and many details are patented or patents are
pending. Mainly in the sports world the company is
known as the most innovative manufacturer of
modern sports umbrellas. Users appreciate the
functional design, the remarkable sturdiness, the
corrosion resistance and the low weight.
Renaissance of sports umbrellas
Göbel’s own brands BIRDIEPAL and EUROSCHIRM
with their outstanding quality and top design
stand for profound economical success. Thanks
to the company, for several years EUROSCHIRM
trekking umbrellas have been seen increasingly

often as a special equipment accessory of
active people in the European Alps, the Rocky
Mountains, the Himalaya and many other
mountain and hiking areas. Mountain guides of
various associations and famous mountaineers
use their EUROSCHIRM umbrellas in their daily
work. The same is noticed on golf courses
worldwide, where the BIRDIEPAL golf umbrella
range is used by and meets the high expectations
of ambitious golfers as well as professionals.
The German Golf Association DGV and major
international golf companies are equipped with
products of this range or they purchase their
products from BIRDIEPAL as original equipment
with individual branding.

Wide range of umbrellas
Eberhard Göbel’s product range is completed
by the lifestyle segment. The most traditional
design, highest workmanship and materials are
found in the CLASSIC LINE. Many luxury watch
companies like Breitling, Hublot, Omega,
etc. trust in the reliable service of the umbrella
manufacturer and choose their customer
gifts from the sophisticated standard stock or
develop umbrellas corresponding to their CI
together with Eberhard Göbel’s design department.
Furthermore Eberhard Göbel also
develops and manufactures umbrellas for
premium car companies such as Aston Martin,
Bentley, Maybach, etc. If more luxury is required,
gents’ and ladies’ umbrellas are also available
with most precious metals, exotic leathers, selected
woods in individual configurations. These high
end products are currently introduced to the
market and named BRILLIANT LINE.
Today‘s performance
The sales force today is organised in three
sections. More than 20 people work in different
time zones in the company’s offices in Singapore
and Atlanta and the headquarters in Ulm/
Germany. They support customers worldwide
with reliable information within short periods
and enjoy serving them with their know-how and
experience, achieved in decades.
