GOVERNANCE REVIEW<br />
Governance Review Project (GRP) -<br />
First Alliance Church is growing and has<br />
the potential to impact more and more lives<br />
for Christ. Governance is an important part<br />
of church leadership affecting this potential.<br />
With this in mind, the Board of Elders<br />
asked a small team to conduct a thorough<br />
review of governance practice at <strong>FAC</strong> and<br />
come back to the Board of Elders with<br />
findings and recommendations.<br />
This team is composed of two Elders<br />
(Robert Hawes and Ken Keeler), one staff<br />
member (Ed Dyck) and three church<br />
Members (Bernice Shumlich, Diane Earle,<br />
and Rick Tovell). Pastor Scott Weatherford<br />
and Chairman of the Board of Elders, Jake<br />
Bueckert are ex-officio members; and Tim<br />
Beadle from the Western Canadian District<br />
of the Christian & Missionary Alliance is an<br />
advisor to the team.<br />
The team has started this assignment and<br />
will provide updates as the work progresses.<br />
