<strong>Ironing</strong> <strong>instructions</strong> <strong>for</strong>
<strong>iron</strong>-on motifs
Iron-on motifs consist of a highly covering film (velours-, glitter-, holographic- or
PU-film) backed with a hot-melt adhesive sitting mounted on a transparent
polyester.
They are suited <strong>for</strong> transferral onto fabric made from cotton, cotton-polyesterblend
and natural textiles. Iron-ons also stick to jeans or wool and wool-blends.
They are NOT suitable <strong>for</strong> nylons and water-repelling fabric.
Be<strong>for</strong>e embellishing your fabric (cotton or cotton-polyester-blends with a
maximum of 20% polyester) wash out all residues of fabric softener and finisher.
What do you need <strong>for</strong> <strong>iron</strong>-on motifs?
Iron-on motifs, <strong>iron</strong>, fabric or finished
garment (store-bought or sewn),
parchment paper, scissors <strong>for</strong> cutting
motifs (if desired).
Lay your garment on a hard surface
(wooden board), place the <strong>iron</strong>-on motif
onto the garment the transparent
mount facing up and cover with
parchment paper. (The hot-melt
adhesive is facing down.)

Iron according to the precise
<strong>instructions</strong> given below.
Let the motif as well as the surface sit
and cool down completely. Then remove
the transparent mount.
If you plan on adding more motifs
repeat the steps.
After removing the mount, <strong>iron</strong> again.

The <strong>iron</strong>-on motifs are divided into two different groups:
Group 1
All VELOURS <strong>iron</strong>-on motifs.
Heat your <strong>iron</strong> to about 170 °C, press with middle pressure, <strong>iron</strong> <strong>for</strong> about 20
seconds, Then remove the mount and <strong>iron</strong> again <strong>for</strong> about 20 seconds directly
across the motif (or with delicate fabric use parchment paper).
Group 2
All OTHER <strong>iron</strong>-on motifs: glitter, holographic or PU-motifs.
Heat your <strong>iron</strong> to about 170 °C, press with middle pressure, <strong>iron</strong> <strong>for</strong> about 20
seconds, use parchment paper. Then remove the mount and <strong>iron</strong> again <strong>for</strong> about
10 seconds using parchment paper.
Be<strong>for</strong>e washing your garment let it sit <strong>for</strong> a couple of hours to yield the best
bonding results.
Washing <strong>instructions</strong>:
Turn your garment inside out.
Wash by hand or on a gentle
cycle at up to 40 °C.
Use only mild detergent without
bleach.
Do not dry clean.
Iron from the left only.
