Use sufficient water for thorough coverage of weeds.
Add a non-ionic surfactant at recommended rates.
Apply between early (1-4 leaf) and late (20 cm for
grasses, 30 cm for broadleaf weeds) post-emergent
stages of weeds.
Apply to actively growing weeds.
For residual control, apply to moist soil when rain is
expected within 10 days.
Use the lower rates on small weeds (less than 4 leaf) and
for short residual control. Use the higher rates on large
weeds and for longer residual control.
Use a directed spray to minimise contact with sugar cane
foliage and shielding of weeds.
CAUTION: Contact with foliage of cane varieties Q119,
Q122 and H56-752 should be avoided as they are
susceptible to phytotoxicity from this product.
Also take care with any new varieties of cane which may
not have been tested.
NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THIS LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER
APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.
WITHHOLDING PERIODS: DO NOT HARVEST FOR 9 MONTHS AFTER APPLICATION.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
FARMOZ AMIGAN ® WG Herbicide provides knockdown and residual
control of annual grass and broadleaf weeds. Best results will be
achieved when weed seedlings are small and actively growing. Spray
when soil moisture conditions are good at the early post-emergent
stage of the sugar cane.
DO NOT treat large weeds (greater than 30 cm in height) or under dry
soil conditions as poor control will result.
RESISTANT WEEDS WARNING
FARMOZ AMIGAN ® WG Herbicide is a
member of the triazine group of herbicides.
AMIGAN WG has the inhibitor of photosynthesis at photosystem II
mode of action. For weed resistance management AMIGAN WG is a
Group C herbicide. Some naturally occurring weed biotypes resistant
to AMIGAN WG and other Group C Herbicides may exist through
normal genetic variability in any weed population. The resistant
individuals can eventually dominate the weed population if these
herbicides are used repeatedly. These resistant weeds will not be
controlled by AMIGAN WG or other Group C Herbicides.
Since the occurrence of resistant weeds is difficult to detect prior to
use, FARMOZ Pty. Ltd. accepts no liability for any losses that may
result from the failure of AMIGAN WG to control resistant weeds.
MIXING
Fill spray tank no more than 50% full with clean water. Before adding
AMIGAN WG begin agitating vigorously and continue agitation during
the entire mixing and spraying operation. Pour required amount of
product steadily into the spray tank. Allow vigorous bypass agitation to
completely disperse product.
DO NOT dump product into spray tank all at once.
After adding required quantity of product and obtaining complete
dispersion, continue to fill tank to desired level for spraying. Thorough
agitation of the spray liquid should continue during the entire spraying
operation. Spray solution should not be left standing in the tank
overnight.
APPLICATION
Apply by conventional sprayers with either mechanical or by-pass
agitation. Flat fan nozzles should be used with spray equipment
correctly calibrated to deliver a total spray volume of 200-400 L/ha.
Nozzle screens should be 50 mesh. The equipment should direct the
spray solution away from cane foliage to minimise contact with cane
leaves and reduce shielding of weeds. Particular care should be taken
with sensitive varieties such as Q119, Q122 and H56-752 or other new
varieties.
PROTECTION OF CROPS, NATIVE AND OTHER NON-TARGET PLANTS
DO NOT replant pineapples or sugar cane for 8 months after last
application.
DO NOT replant other crops for 12 months after last application.
DO NOT apply under weather conditions, or from spraying equipment,
that may cause spray to drift onto nearby susceptible plants/crops,
cropping lands or pastures.
