Dear Friends of Karate and Karate-Ka,<br />

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I would like to extend an invitation to the upcoming <strong>Bihor</strong> <strong>Open</strong>-„CHAMPIONS<br />

DAY” International <strong>Open</strong> Karate Championship,which will take place in <strong>Oradea</strong>, <strong>Romania</strong> on September 29, 2012. The scope<br />

and level of competitors promises to make this one of the most dynamic, exciting competitions of recent memory.Without a<br />

doubt, your presence will add dimension and quality to a forum of elite athletes testing and honing their skills. All levels and<br />

ages will have commensurate categories and all will have a memory of a lifetime.<br />

We have attached information for your review and submission. If you are in need of assistance or facilitation, do not hesitate to<br />

use the contact email/information listed.Of course, I am also personally available if you should have any additional questions.<br />

I look forward to seeing you personally in <strong>Romania</strong> taking part in this event that does justiceto the work invested in each athlete<br />

and to Karate-Do.<br />

I hope that the fact that the competition was advertised as an International <strong>Open</strong> Karate Championship, will attract the<br />

competitiors of other styles as well..I honestly hope, that you, who is reading my information letter, decide your intention for<br />

participating and we will meet in autumn of 2012, in <strong>Oradea</strong>, on the International <strong>Open</strong> Karate Championship.<br />

Weighing: It happens by random before the given category. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to controll the weight of<br />

the competitors during the competition if it is necessary. In case the competitor was entered into a lower weight division<br />

than his actual weight, then the given competitor will be disqualified! The number of the participants is not limited!<br />

The Organizing Committe reserves the right to concentrate the categories depending on the number of the competitors!<br />

All competitors have the right to enter in his own age-group and weight division. It is possible to enter in more other<br />

categories according to the following: in KATA event in level and in age (just + 1 age-group) in KUMITE event in age<br />

(just + 1 age-group) and in weight division. The chart about the categories is the part of the invitation to competition.<br />

Shotokan Kata, Wado-ryu Kata then run in round two. This situation is only possible to category WKF (<strong>Open</strong>-Kata)<br />

according to WKF rules / (Shitei & Tokui Kata).<br />

Minute; 14-17 years Boys & 18-20 (Girls) cadet rules! clear fighting time: 2 minutes; 18-20 (Boys) & From 21 years and<br />

over (Males) clear fighting is 3 minutes;<br />

TEAM KUMITE The rules are the same as by the individual kumite! Number of the members of the team: 3 + 1 members by categories!<br />

Protecting equipments: Gum shields, WKF type mitts red and blue, for women chest protection, WKF type shin pads and foot protection red and<br />

blue compulsory. For cadets and younger age groups additionally face mask, for all kumite competitors body protector are<br />

optional.<br />

The total score on clubs: International <strong>Open</strong> Karate Championship has two distinct classifications:<br />

- For foreign clubs and national awards with the Karate Trophy "<strong>Bihor</strong> <strong>Open</strong>-Champions Day"<br />

- For clubs Ministry of Education-MECTS (Children and Pupils Palace) awards the Trophy”Toamna Orădeană”.<br />

- Scoring is the same in both versions: the place-I- 15 points, second-II- place 10 points, third -III- place 5 points.<br />

Entrance conditions: The BUDO certificate or WKF certificate must be showed up by the registration In all categories the verification of the<br />

sports physician is needed (can competeregistration). The coaches are required to check the validity of the verification of<br />

the sports physician and all competitiors are required to bring their valid health insurance certificate with them, because<br />

howing this is needed for a possible health provision. All competitors must have insurance as well. The entry is a<br />

declaration at the same about that the conditions are fulfilled, so about the competitor have a valid BUDO certificate or<br />

WKF certificate, verification of the sports physician, valid health insurance certificate and insurance as well. The leader<br />

is responsible for the lack of these documents. In the absence of any of the entrance conditions – if it is found out – the<br />

competitor or the team might be disqualified.<br />

To certify the age the passport, to certify the karate degree the BUDO certificate or WKF certificate are accepted by the<br />

Organizing Commitee<br />

The person arriving at the registration is obliged to bring the passports and BUDO certificate or WKF certificates of all<br />

competitors. During the championship – on the basis of a notice – the age, degree and weight of the competitors will be<br />

checked by the Orgaizing Committee, so it is suggested from the competitors to keep their passport and their certificate with<br />

them or with their leaders In the absence of this the competitor might be disqualified. In case the competitor is disqualified<br />

because of the coach or of the fault of the competitor, or in case the competitor stands off, the entry fee won’t be paid back<br />

by the Organizing Committee!

In team events: 40 Euro / team / event<br />

It is possible at the main referee of the competition directly after the argued event. Fee of it: 50 Euro, which is paid back<br />

in case the caveat is effective.<br />

Accommodation can be done by the Commission to organize, on request.<br />
