Dear Friends of Fauquier Health,
For Fauquier Health, 2011 was a year of new beginnings,
as the health system continued to initiate projects and
recruit clinicians to serve our community better. Fauquier
Health welcomed three new physicians in 2011: OB/GYN
Wesley Hodgson, M.D. (Fauquier Health OB/GYN);
endocrinologist Lida Tabatabaeian (Fauquier Health
Endocrinology); and family practice physician Anna Born,
M.D. (Fauquier Health Family Practice at Bealeton).
The year also brought a higher volume of patients and Rodger H. Baker
a renewed emphasis on wellness and preventative care,
supported by the Affordable Care Act’s focus on screenings and checkups. Our myriad of
diagnostic and treatment technologies—digital mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound,
CT scan, computer-guided surgery and interventional radiology—allows our physicians
to provide the most up-to-date healthcare possible.
Further validation of Fauquier Health’s commitment to providing extraordinary
healthcare was provided by the Joint Commission in the form of a Stroke Center of
Excellence certification. The Breast Center at the Cancer Center at Lake Manassas also
earned a three-year accreditation. These prestigious certifications are a testament to the
dedication and passion of the Fauquier Health family. Perhaps it is no surprise then,
that Fauquier Health was recognized in September of 2011 as one of the 50 Most
Engaged Workplaces in the U.S.
This edition celebrates the people that make Fauquier Health special. Our physicians,
nurses, staff, volunteers, and most of all, you—our patients, their families and our loyal
supporters. You have helped us become what we are today, and what we will be tomorrow.
