Dear Friends of <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health,<br />
For <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health, 2011 was a year of new beginnings,<br />
as the health system continued to initiate projects and<br />
recruit clinicians to serve our community better. <strong>Fauquier</strong><br />
Health welcomed three new physicians in 2011: OB/GYN<br />
Wesley Hodgson, M.D. (<strong>Fauquier</strong> Health OB/GYN);<br />
endocrinologist Lida Tabatabaeian (<strong>Fauquier</strong> Health<br />
Endocrinology); and family practice physician Anna Born,<br />
M.D. (<strong>Fauquier</strong> Health Family Practice at Bealeton).<br />
The year also brought a higher volume of patients and Rodger H. Baker<br />
a renewed emphasis on wellness and preventative care,<br />
supported by the Affordable Care Act’s focus on screenings and checkups. Our myriad of<br />
diagnostic and treatment technologies—digital mammography, breast MRI, ultrasound,<br />
CT scan, computer-guided surgery and interventional radiology—allows our physicians<br />
to provide the most up-to-date healthcare possible.<br />
Further validation of <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health’s commitment to providing extraordinary<br />
healthcare was provided by the Joint Commission in the form of a Stroke Center of<br />
Excellence certification. The Breast Center at the Cancer Center at Lake Manassas also<br />
earned a three-year accreditation. These prestigious certifications are a testament to the<br />
dedication and passion of the <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health family. Perhaps it is no surprise then,<br />
that <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health was recognized in September of 2011 as one of the 50 Most<br />
Engaged Workplaces in the U.S.<br />
This edition celebrates the people that make <strong>Fauquier</strong> Health special. Our physicians,<br />
nurses, staff, volunteers, and most of all, you—our patients, their families and our loyal<br />
supporters. You have helped us become what we are today, and what we will be tomorrow.<br />
