XI. Ofthejuftification of Man.<br />

before God, only for the<br />

Merit cf our Lord and Saviour<br />

jefus Chrift by Faich, and not<br />

for o«r own Works or Deferv-<br />

ings. Wherefore, that we are<br />

jijftified by Faith only, is a mofi:<br />

wholfome^ Doctrine, and very<br />

full of comfort, as more largely<br />

is expríTed in the Homily of<br />

Juftification.<br />

Faith J infomuch that by<br />

them a lively Faith may be<br />

as evidently known, as a tree<br />

difcerned by the fruit.<br />
