Boral Berrima Cement Works Community Meeting – 21 February 2013 CEMENT WORKS UPDATE Boral structural and costs review - In addition to the Waurn Ponds closure, Boral announced at the end of last year it would be reducing its Australian workforce by 700 to allow Boral to reduce costs and remain competitive through the current severe market downturn. - Unfortunately, Berrima was not immune from reductions and will lose 3 personnel. - These include Karin Schianetz and Sam Donaldson who have had a great input to our community relationship over recent years. - Alex Wnorowski, together with other personnel from Berrima, will pick up Karin’s environmental duties from end of February. - Madeline Westnidge will pick up Sam’s community liaison work from June. 4
