Programme Overview
The MIM Work Based Diploma in Management Programme is an integrated programme focusing on learning that
was gained from past work experience and the development of new learning in the form of work based projects
focusing on the learner’s current work role.
The programme enables motivated Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders with the skills and tools to effectively
and efficiently manage the day-to-day running of the business whilst assisting the business to achieve its strategic
objectives. This holistic integrated management model adopted by the MIM Work Based Diploma in Management
Programme ensures the enhancement of the competencies of the managers to build organisational capability.

Unit 0 Orientation Programme
The programme has 4 core sets of contents:
Personal Management – being competent and proficient in managing self and performing the job,
Unit or Team Management – being able to work effectively and manage in teams,
Functional Management – getting things done and achieving results through specialised functions, and
Organisational Management – being able to understand and implement the strategies to improve
organisational effectiveness.
This programme requires the successful completion of 8 units of competency from a broader syllabus
which can be made available to companies requesting for customization to suit their in-house needs*
