Biography 

Dandelion Wine are an ethereal electro-world band 

that while based in Melbourne Australia, inhabit a very 

different world. A world where the centuries bleed into 

one another to create a seamless whole. A world 

where medieval instruments collide headlong with 

electronic beats. A world where angelic vocals soar 

over waves of distorted guitars. A world where gentle 

acoustic whispers sit alongside impassioned blasts of 

inner turmoil. 

Dandelion Wine's latest album "All Becompassed By Stars" takes the 

increased energy and danceability of 2008's "Selected Anachronisms" 

to a new level of intensity, whilst simultaneous featuring some of the 

band's most ethereal and beautiful work to date. The amped up energy 

of recent Dandelion Wine albums is a reflection of the bandʼs live show, 

which has been honed in fourteen countries and is not a stand and 

mumble into the microphone affair. On the contrary, it is an energetic, 

passionate and visually arresting delivery of the band's trademark 

electro/medieval hybrid : strings are broken, sweat is expelled and 

feathers are ruffled. 

Dandelion Wine are: 

Naomi Henderson : vocals, flute, recorder, percussion, electronics, 

guitar, sansula 

Nicholas Albanis : guitars, Appalachian dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, 

lute, bowed psaltery, bell cittern, bass, percussion, vocals, electronics 

2012 saw the Tenth Anniversary of their landmark “Light Streaming Down” EP, which was celebrated with a short Australian tour 

and a special all acoustic tour of Europe (the bandʼs seventh European Tour in total) 

Dandelion Wine have toured extensively throughout Europe and Japan as well as their native Australia, with audiences in Japan, 

Germany, Switzerland, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Estonia 

and the UK all having borne witness to the bandʼs music. In keeping with the eclectic nature of their music, the bandʼs concert 

history includes everything from underground clubs to world music festivals, galleries to metal festivals, theatres to all night 

techno parties... and even psychiatric hospitals in Australia and Germany. Highlights of Dandelion Wineʼs tours include Wave 

Gotik Treffen (DE, Schauspielhaus in 2007 & Heidnisches Dorf in 2008), Noordrzon Festival (NL), Menuo Juodaragis (LT),
