connection with research <strong>and</strong> design, production <strong>and</strong><br />

Whilst many manufacturers can lay claim to producing the<br />
best performing products available in the market, it’s much<br />
better when this is independently recognised. All <strong>GROHE</strong><br />
products are life-tested before launch <strong>and</strong> will always exceed<br />
the highest international st<strong>and</strong>ards in quality <strong>and</strong> reliability.<br />
This was fully realised when <strong>GROHE</strong> was awarded ‘best in<br />
test’ for thermostats <strong>and</strong> one-h<strong>and</strong> mixers by an<br />
Independent test body - TUV SUD.<br />
ABOUT TUV SUD<br />
TUV SUD Product Service is renowned worldwide for its<br />
expertise in product assessment <strong>and</strong> certification. It<br />
services a wide range of industries, from Aerospace to<br />
Telecom, via General Manufacturing <strong>and</strong> Consumer Products.<br />
ONE HAND MIXERS<br />
TUV SUD put single lever mixers from 9 manufacturers to<br />
the mechanical performance test. Replicating the effect of<br />
20 years of usage on the products <strong>and</strong> the particular areas<br />
tested include:<br />
1. Actuation forces (smooth operation)<br />
2. Lever play (movement of h<strong>and</strong>le)<br />
3. Precision of water adjustment (temperature adjustment)<br />
4. Water tightness<br />
<strong>GROHE</strong> was the overall winner, our single lever mixers stood<br />
out well ahead amongst the other single levers tested.<br />
THERMOSTATS<br />
Our range of Grohtherm thermostats gained 12 accolades in<br />
this major independent test. 17 thermostats were selected<br />
from 8 leading European manufacturers. Thermostats were<br />
split into premium, mid range <strong>and</strong> entry-level price categories<br />
<strong>and</strong> subject to four rigorous tests including;<br />
Quality Control – measuring response time of the<br />
thermostat <strong>and</strong> temperature consistency in the event of a<br />
pressure drop or a sudden increase in hot water<br />
temperature<br />
Safety – to ensure protection against scalding in the<br />
event of the cold water being cut off<br />
H<strong>and</strong>ling – Precise adjustment of desired mixed water<br />
temperature, avoiding unwanted hot <strong>and</strong> cold shock under<br />
the shower<br />
Service quality – Overall service maintenance<br />
GROHTHERM SET THE STANDARD<br />
Grohtherm 1000, 2000 <strong>and</strong> 3000 thermostats came top<br />
over all other competitor products in their respective<br />
categories. The Grohtherm 1000 proved the best buy for<br />
price conscious consumers; the Grohtherm 2000 was the<br />
undisputed winner in the mid-range category, <strong>and</strong> the<br />
Grohtherm 3000 <strong>and</strong> 2000 HP were the overall winning<br />
products of the entire test.<br />

<strong>GROHE</strong> DreamSpray® technology is at the heart of all our<br />
showers. These advanced shower engines feature multiple<br />
single parts to efficiently distribute an equal flow of water<br />
to every single nozzle. This allows us to offer a number of<br />
precise spray patterns for an enjoyable shower.<br />
<strong>GROHE</strong> TurboStat®<br />
For convenience, comfort <strong>and</strong> safety, our thermostats<br />
feature <strong>GROHE</strong> TurboStat® technology. By increasing the<br />
sensitivity of the thermo element <strong>and</strong> restructuring the<br />
internal waterways, our thermostats react to abrupt<br />
changes in water pressure two times faster than before,<br />
<strong>and</strong> are up to nine times more accurate than the leading<br />
competitor’s. The desired temperature is reached in a<br />
fraction of a second <strong>and</strong> maintained for the duration of the<br />
shower.<br />
<strong>GROHE</strong> CoolTouch®<br />
With <strong>GROHE</strong> CoolTouch® technology there is no risk of<br />
scalding from a hot chrome surface. Our showers <strong>and</strong><br />
thermostats feature a innovative cooling channel, creating<br />

Rapid SL Installation Systems<br />
The Rapid SL system gives you the freedom to design your ultimate bathroom by<br />
providing a secure <strong>and</strong> quick method of installing wall-hung basins, bidets, urinals <strong>and</strong><br />
WC’s. Available in three different installation heights, each frame comes preassembled<br />
with sanitaryware fixings <strong>and</strong> is subject to stringent testing – our WC<br />
frames are tested to hold 400 kg.<br />
