I hope that you’ll find this directory helpful for a variety of purposes. To improve the accuracy
and the currency of the directory, we have only published full information from libraries that
have updated or verified their listing since January 2008. Thank you to those library staff
members who took the time to do so. Libraries that have not updated or verified their listing
since January 2008 have a partial listing consisting of the library name, mailing address, and
phone number. We have also included the date when the information was last updated or
verified. If the library has never updated or verified its listing, the date field reads N/A.
Updating or verifying your library’s information is easy – just follow these steps:

Go to the Montana Library Directory
http://www.msl.mt.gov/For_Librarians/Library_Directory/default.asp
Click the “Edit” button.
Use the drop-down lists to narrow the search for your library, and then click the “Search” button.
Click on the name of your library. This will bring you to your library’s login screen.
Enter the password that you use to access your library’s directory listing. (If you
don’t have your password, choose “Help!!! I can’t remember my password!”).
Click on the “Login” button. This will bring you to the Main Menu.
From the Main Menu, update or verify your library, employee, and board
information as needed. Always use the “Buttons” at the bottom of each page
to submit your updated or verified information to the State Library.
As in past years, the Montana State Library provides each
library that updated its listing within the time allowed
one paper copy of the directory. If you would like more
copies, we also offer this publication online. To obtain
the most current library contact information or to print
a copy of this document, go to the Montana Library
Directory at http://www.msl.mt.gov/For_Librarians/
Library_Directory/default.asp. We encourage you and
your staff members to use these online versions.
