However during <strong>the</strong> Panel’s meeting with <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong> 12 April, she<br />
informed <strong>the</strong> Panel that she has kept folders containing copies <strong>of</strong> all receipts for her<br />
purchases and o<strong>the</strong>r expenses, including receipts for animals purchased. During a visit to <strong>the</strong><br />
archive 20 April, <strong>the</strong> Secretariat thus found those folders and copied all <strong>the</strong> present receipts<br />
for animals purchased in <strong>the</strong> years 2000, 2001 and 2002, including some receipts for animals<br />
immunised, and strains maintained, at o<strong>the</strong>r labs than Panum (in Denmark and Spain).<br />
Annex 3.2.7.6 reports on <strong>the</strong> found animal invoices and <strong>the</strong> study <strong>of</strong> those.<br />
The result <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> study is that according to <strong>the</strong> invoices, mainly mice and only 4<br />
rats, have been purchased by <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong> in 2000-2002.<br />
Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore, all <strong>the</strong> found invoices for housing, maintenance and/or<br />
immunisations at o<strong>the</strong>r labs than Panum (in Spain and Denmark) are for housing,<br />
maintenance and/or immunisations <strong>of</strong> mice, cf. <strong>the</strong> annex.<br />
3.2.5 Found information on <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong>’s employment responsibilities<br />
and group members<br />
Information on <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong>’s job responsibilities and group members has been<br />
obtained from SUND’s secretariat and <strong>the</strong> Department <strong>of</strong> Neuroscience and Pharmacology.<br />
It is described in annex 3.2.9.<br />
3.3 The Panel’s meetings with key-persons<br />
During its meeting at Panum 11-13 April, <strong>the</strong> Panel met with <strong>the</strong> following key-persons and<br />

Associate Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Jørgen Kurtzhals and Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Marianne Juhler were invited on request<br />
from <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong>. None <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> co-authorships <strong>of</strong> Jørgen Kurtzhals or Marianne Juhler<br />
are among <strong>the</strong> papers selected by <strong>the</strong> Panel. Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore, <strong>the</strong> Panel had invited Lab<br />
technician Magdalena Kus, Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Agnete Larsen and Senior <strong>research</strong>er Meredin<br />
Stoltenberg on request from <strong>Milena</strong> <strong>Penkowa</strong>. These three persons were not able to meet<br />
<strong>the</strong> Panel 12 April, though.<br />
