We make our ceramics by hand.
Mamma Rò was established in 1967 by two brothers, Mario and
Paolo Pierallini in Lucca, Italy. The name Mamma Ro` was
derived from their mother, Rosanna, who stood as a symbol
for the family business. The brothers opened their first retail
shop (bottega) in the center of Lucca’s piazza anfiteatro
(amphitheater square).The hand-painted La Gabbianella line
was added in recent years.
From completely hand thrown vessels to molded, hand-finished,
and decorated dinnerware, our philosophy is to maintain the
human element in all of our wares. This is the essence of La
Vita Vera—true life accessories for the family to enjoy together.
