BBA INNOVA presents new auxiliary products
Cooler specialist BBA INNOVA is now offering additional
innovative materials handling equipment
The engineering company BBA INNOVA has just launched two new, innovative products in its materials
handling equipment range: from now on, the product range of the cooler specialist from Aarau in
Switzerland will be complemented with a vertical belt conveyor and an oscillating swivel belt conveyor socalled
wig-wag conveyor.
Vertical belt conveyor converts bulk materials into mountaineers
The vertical belt conveyor is suitable for the transport of the most diverse
bulk materials: powders, granulates and chips can be conveyed at an angle
of up to almost 90° along a variable length of up to four metres with this
special conveyor belt. The trick: the bulk materials are taken up by two
conveyor belts at the same time – they lie are sealed in- between them.
In addition to overcoming even the steepest angles, the sandwich design
has another advantage which must not be underestimated. BBA INNOVA
Sales Manager Hans-Jürgen Schmotzer: “With this design we managed to
kill two birds with one stone as it allows the users to avoid undesirable dust collection at the same time.”
Both conveyor belts can be removed for cleaning without the need for tools or extensive efforts. As such,
the new BBA INNOVA vertical conveyor belt is also suitable for use in applications with high product
change frequencies and low spacial requirements.
The wig-wag conveyor for uniform product feeding
Mit With the oscillating swivel belt conveyor belt, BBA INNOVA is
introducing an universal inlet belt conveyor for all calenderable masses.
By means of diverse, tailored setting and set-up possibilities, the material
handling equipment ensures the uniform feeding of products from all
imaginable preparation systems such as internal mixers, extruders and
reactors to their downstream systems. These can be calenders,
continuous cooler belt systems or compacting systems, to name but a few examples. The important aspect
is the adjustable swivel range(“wig-wag”) on a horizontal plane with a stop angle that can be set at both
sides. Managing Director Wolfgang Kircher: “The oscillating movement is also subject to controllable
acceleration, which can be adjusted according to the product to be conveyed. In this way, our new wig-wag

conveyor allows a very uniform filling of all types of calenders and cooler/conveyor belts. For our
customers, this means an increase in their product throughput thanks to the efficient employment of the
downstream equipment.”
BBA INNOVA’s many years of expertise in the development of high-quality machinery and systems for the
controllability of thermal processes means that even special designs with cooling, heat supply or
containment is no problem. The wig-wag conveyor is height-adjustable both in terms of the machine body
itself and in the incline of the belt. As such, users are also offered flexibility when it comes to the product
input and output heights.
Similarly to the vertical belt conveyor, BBA INNOVA placed great focus on a compact and space-saving
construction and simple cleaning possibilities in the development of the wig-wag conveyor. Both
conveyors can also be equipped with different belt materials from rubber to plastic up to fabric belts in
order to guarantee the highest possible conveying efficiency for the respective conveyed mass.
