Challengers Billiards<br />
The Challengers Group is mid-level to<br />
advanced players. We play every Friday<br />
from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Billiards<br />
Room (KS). Players will be assigned to various<br />
tables with different partners. The last<br />
Friday of each month is sign-up day for the<br />
following month.<br />
We don’t just like to play Billiards, we<br />
also like to party. Remember, our Pizza<br />
Party get-together is May 18 from 12:00 to<br />
4:00 PM at KS. Come and have some fun.<br />

Couples Billiards<br />
We play at KS every Wednesday evening<br />
from 4:00 to 6:30 PM. The sign-up book<br />
is on the fireplace, you will need to sign<br />
up in advance. Sorry, there wasn’t enough<br />
space to mention all the teams that tied<br />
for second place this playing time.<br />
On week one there was a tie of five<br />
20 May 2013 Compass<br />
games won. Those teams were David Manwaring/Peshu<br />
Irani and Joe/Nicki Hobby.<br />
Week two also had a two-way tie of five<br />
games won. Those players were Del/Veronica<br />
Torres and Joe Perez/Rita Baikauskas.<br />
Week three, again a two-way tie of five<br />
wins. Those players were Dan Oden/Gail<br />
Harmon and Joe Perez/Rita Baikauskas.<br />
Week four, we finally had a six-game<br />
winner. Those players were Dave Manwaring/Connie<br />
Hoetger.<br />

Bird<br />
Our group is planning a<br />
Saturday bird walk on May 25 along the<br />
Monte Azul (Upper Canyon Oaks) Trail.<br />
This is a lovely paved walkway with many<br />
beautiful oaks and birds such as the Ashthroated<br />
Flycatcher, the Northern Harrier<br />
and the Nuttall’s Woodpecker. On Friday,<br />
