KS Music Night Presents The Patchouli Quartet<br />

Music Night brings back the Patchouli<br />
Quartet to play the songs<br />
you love to sing along to. After<br />
years of playing in “The Cast Musical<br />
Band,” the Quartet decided to<br />
follow Sana and Terry’s passion and<br />
go acoustic. Their specialty is old<br />
and new folk music with vocals, guitars and bass, with featured<br />
electric guitar and drums prerecorded by Terry. The program<br />
includes Aretha Franklin’s “Chain of Fools,” the Jeff Healy<br />
Band’s “Angel Eyes,” Simon and Garfunkel’s “Mrs. Robinson,”<br />
and many more. Expect excellent harmonies from lead vocals<br />
Sana Christian and Terry Allwein who will be adding new repertoire<br />
versus last year’s show. One show only. P-Hall (KS), 7:00<br />

Slim Jenkins — Voodoo Blues & Dirty Swing Concert<br />

San Francisco’s Slim Jenkins is a<br />
celebration of great American roots<br />
music and its tradition of innovation<br />
and energy. Harking back to the<br />
heyday of hot jazz and blues, Slim<br />
Jenkins evokes a world of sultry and<br />
smooth, or jumping and hot music to keep the audience energized<br />
and alive. Slim Jenkins never loses sight of the balance<br />
between tradition and innovation that defines classic American<br />
music. The program includes a repertoire that evokes our musical<br />
history with music such as “Burnt Toast & Black Coffee,”<br />
“It Ain’t Love,” “Cleopatra” and “Coal Miner.” Ballroom (OC)<br />

Paperback Writer will take you on an<br />
award-winning Beatles experience<br />
through the musical years of the<br />
worlds’ most successful and popular<br />
rock group of all time. Hear the melodic<br />
hits from the early years of the<br />
Ed Sullivan Show and the Beatles’ first full length film, “A Hard<br />
Day’s Night,” performed with “spot on” authenticity. Hit songs<br />
will come to life with costumes and flair including: “Magical<br />
Mystery Tour,” “Penny Lane” and “Strawberry Fields.” Doors<br />
open at 6:15 PM for a 7:00 PM concert. General admission $19.<br />
Roseville <strong>Community</strong> Concert Band —<br />
Happy Birthday USA!<br />

By resident request, we bring back one of the<br />
best local volunteer symphonic concert bands<br />
that performs throughout the greater Roseville<br />
and South Placer communities, the Roseville<br />
<strong>Community</strong> Concert Band (RCCB). The RCCB was established<br />
in 2000 by Bill Hastings, a retired military band director. This<br />
group provides the right combination of enjoyable and patriotic<br />
music to celebrate the 4 th of July with friends and family.<br />
The concert offers wonderful music selections and will be<br />
completed before dark so you can view the city of <strong>Lincoln</strong>’s<br />
fabulous firework display. Ballroom (OC). Concert 2:00 PM. For<br />
those who do not like standing in line prior to the concert,<br />
Premium Reserved Section Seating $9. General admission<br />
early registration discounted rate May 17-June 14, $5. After<br />
June 14, $7. Tickets required for all guests including children.<br />
